Problems resting :(

Post by Alien_Newborn »

Hi everypeoples, I am once again having some strange difficulty at the hands of my downloads.

This morning I was playing with pretty much no problems, until my character rested, at which point the game autosaves, rests, then CTD's. Doing some experiments, I found out that if my char rests after 10 a.m. on day thirteen, the game (for no particular reason) crashes. Normally this wouldn't be a problem for me, since none of my characters ever got any sleep anyways, but now I realize that I can no longer a.) take part in the Raven Rock quests, or B.) create my house stronghold since both of those quests involve waiting around alot for stuff to get built (or grown, in my case :) ).

Can anyone give me some methods on how to do any of the following?

A.) Change the date via console?
B.) Change the time of day via console?
C.) Make it so Raven Rock/ Tel Uvirith quests and buildings are already done?
D.) Just make it so I can get some sleep? ;)

How about the wait button?

Also, you can use training to pass the time.

Well, I tryed waiting, which also didn't work, and I tried the ring which worked at first, but when i changed cells, the game crashes again. The ring is cool though, so I'm keeping it anyway ;)

Instead of using the "yes to all" button today, I decided to sort out all the errors myself. As it happens, the only error that may have any relevance to my problem takes place after i load. The game says "left eval, continue running executable?" Does anyone know what that means?

The usual method people apply who run many mods is to remove half of them, and see if the problems still occur--if not, they had back half of those removed, etc, until the culprit is found.

You can also download TESPCD, which I mentioned in another thread, here, and run it to see if there are any conflicts among your mods. If you're not running many mods, I would suggest TEStool, which compares mods to the game. When mods conflict with the game, the mod content is changed without damage to the mod.

Well, it turns out that when I had BOTH cleaned my esp's/ems's and reinstalled the game, everything worked out fine. Though I apreciate your help, I really need to get some sleep now :D
