@Nar: The eldest brother takes 9 cows, the middle brother takes 6 and the youngest one takes two, everyone is happy. ?

I'm still interested in the cigarette buts. Anyone have any ideas?

Fine, no American riddles, Ravager. :rolleyes:

I always come. I can carry nothing, yet hold much for some.

@Dottie
Almost, one element is missing - first son takes 9/18, secon 6/18, third 2/18. The neighbour gives them one cow so that there are 18. Sons take their cows, one is left - the neighbour takes it back. So generally - correct. :)

@Chimaera182
tomorrow??
I have one for you:

An old beggar collects cigarette ends from ashtrays and pavements and uses the tobacco to roll her own cigarettes. She has this practice down to a fine art, knowing that seven cigarette ends will make one rolled cigarette. Since she has collected 49 ends, how many cigarettes can she make from these?
Muahahahahaha, got it, I think :D . The answer is 8 - 49:7=7 and from those 7 she makes number 8. :D :D :D :D
(was thinking about it all day :rolleyes: )

Yes, tomorrow.

They try to fight,
they try in vain.
And when I win
I end the pain.

a man is found in a pitch black room, hanging by his neck from the rafters. security cameras outside the room show that nobody other than the man has entered the room for almost a week, he has been dead for 3 days. there is nothing in the room for him to stand on, there is also a large puddle of water beneath his feet.

how did he hang himself?

Easy one: The man carried huge icebubes to room, piled them and climbed top of them. Then man put his head through the loop. After some time ice melted, leaving nothing under man's legs, so the man dies.

Either that, or he took dry ice and died from the amount of CO2 that is thrown out when it melts :p .

Riddles!

1+1=.. (It's not 2)

And another more interesting one:

There is a barrel with no lid and some wine in it. "This barrel of wine is more than half full," said Curly. "No it's not," says Mo. "It's less than half full."

Without any measuring implements and without removing any wine from the barrel, how can they easily determine who is correct?
