Can a Kensai/Mage duel wield a crom fayer?

Post by red_hill_miner »

Is is possible for a kensai/mage combo to duel wield the crom fayer and another hammer? If so, what level should I dual into a mage at?

As Kensai you are able to put slots into any melee weapon and hammers are no exception. I would recommend dualling into mage when you reached 9th level as a kensai, since you'll still be able to reach a high level as a mage without hitting the xpcap while getting the most benefits from your kensai.

1 - Kits can't dualclass
2 - If you wanna do a mage, I suggest pure mage, better spell combo's faster, and if you play him right the HP's issue....won't be an issue . I carried over my fighter from BG1 and dual'd him to mage in BG2..All I gained was HP's. Combo's like Haste/Stoneskin/MirrorImage/Sunflare/Sunflare/Tensor's Trans, should Help you bust outta any mob.

"Kit's cant dualclass"?

Have you tried it or is it just something you read somewhere? I didn't have any problems dualclassing my berserker to cleric. You can choose a kit for your initial class & dualclass, but you can't dualclass into a kit.

You can check the thread (best multi or dual class combination) it might help. Thomas is going to be right .If a Kensai is a kit then i know you can dual to a Mage:there's been to many on this forum who have told how powerful one is.

Cavalier can't dual-class because Paladin can't dual-class...like Barbarian, Sorcerer, Monk, Ranger I'm not sure.

Rangers can dual class. A good combo is ranger/cleric.
