Potatoes OR a shoe OR a blind person

Two cars go in straight pathes from either side of a canyon 125 miles across and 100 feet high at the apex. Car A is driving at 54 MPH and Car B is driving at 62 MPH. How long will it be until the two cars hit? (yes, they are straight across from each other)

I'm not half as good as Nar at this. I think that riddle was in BGII and after a while those seem to get hard-wired into your mind. Damned replayability... :p

And the next riddle is....

In 1990, a person is 15 years old. In 1995 that same person is 10 years old.
How is this possible?

and if you can't get Ravs riddle then prepare to lose sanity!

Three friends check into a motel for the night and the clerk tells them the bill is $30, payable in advance. So, they each pay the clerk $10 and go to their room. A few minutes later, the clerk realizes he has made an error and overcharged the trio by $5. He asks the bellhop to return $5 to the 3 friends who had just checked in. The bellhop sees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them; so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends. He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day! Now, each of the three friends gets a dollar back, thus they each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 for the night. We know the bellhop pocketed $2 and adding that to the $27, you get $29, not $30 which was originally spent. Where did the other dollar go?

hehe i love this one

I've hear this one :D
Yes, best sanity-loser

The answer (I think) is:

A is how it should be divided correctly, B is what really happens
A) 30-5 -> (30-5):3 -> 10 - 5/3 -> 9 - 2/3 ->8 1/3
B) 30-5 -> 30-3-2 -> (30-3)/3-2 -> 9-2 -> 7
So, the mistakes comes in second phase, cause it's not correct to count
(30-5)/3=(30-3)/3-2, which happens in the story. It's only numeral illusion that 1 is missing, and the illsuion is created by incorrect calculating

End of the answer

well. since the guys each paid 10 dollars, the are out of the picture. even though they got 1 dollar each.

the bellhoop got 5 dollars, and gave away three, and kept two, so he is also out of the picture.

but the clerk.. the other "two" both have it perfectly clear, so then it is just the clerk left...
