Need help in de' Arnise Keep
Need help in de' Arnise Keep
I stuck in the basement. I keep getting killed by the Troll leader (can't remember his name) and his body guards. I have Jaheira, Anomen, Yoshimo, Aerie and Minsc. My main character is a Paladin. All fairly high levels. What's up? Any help appreciated.
I just casted all defensive spells I had: protection from evil, chant, bless etc., and then tried to lure those trolls out one by one. If he doesn't have all his bodyguards, that leaders should be fairly easy.
If it doesn't work, lower the game difficulty.

Hmmm Kind of a cheat, but I went after fighting those damned Umberhulks....Only spells I had left were a couple webs, entagles, cloudkills, and stinking clouds. I charged in with my Paly and Minsc (hasted) and ran back luring em all into a tanle of gas, webs, and roots......Worked well for me. Killed the 2 guards with the cloudkill and my Paly and Minsc, with a lil backstab help from Yosh cleaned house on the leader.
Hope I helped

If you can get one of you characters invissibel/stealthed - and move that character forward - Torgal(sp?) will detect him/her - and trigger the dialog, and then attack, but the otheres trolls will not detect him/her, so you can move back to your party, only with Torgal following you.
And then - you can take the other 2 trolls on, after that. Makes it a lot easier.

Caste entangle, web, grease into the room. Send a party member with 'free action' up to lure out the troll leader. Then cut him down with missle fire as he tries to get through. Add a dash of fire (fireball, aganzar's) and he will be toast
Repeat for his buddies and then your problem is solved.
