Light & Heavy Pole Weapons

Greetings all,

I have started a Female fighter & am going the route to become a Valkyrie, but before I get too far into the game with her, are there any good Pole Weapons in the game?

So far I have a Spear that does 2-7dmg w/ +2 to strike & have my Light Pole weapons @ lvl 5. While her combo is pretty cool, she is slow, very slow when she attacks. My Skills are: Str30, Dex25, Agl25, Int25. Will she speed up or is the attack with Pole weapons just slow?

You can browse through all of the pole weapons in the game here.

I never really used pole weapons when I played, but I suspect if they're slow now, they're going to be slow always. Increasing your speed attribute will help a little.

That is the problem with pole weapons: extremely slow. When fighting mobs, they are practically useless. Even with maxed speed, I could barely fight anything with them.

I agree with hounder here. There is an exceptional Heavy Pole though, that is a reward from Tomb of Souls. Angelic Destroy. It will summon an Angelic Avenger (Pretty nice pet. It flys, melees, and casts lightning bolt). Worth keeping around simply for that fact.
