Camron Diaz as Viconia, isn't she the wrong colour.

Sam Neil as Anomen.

Cameron Diaz as Viconia?????!!!!!???????

My child, if you haven't noticed, Vic is a DROW!!!!! How could possibly a blonde bombshell like Cameron act as her?????

(don't reply "in heavy makeup")

As for the rest, I like the idea of Danny de Vito as Jan Jansen, but I 'd rather see Angelina jolie as Imoen... and maybe Rutger Hower as Irenicus. And NOT Denzel Washington as Valygar!!!

P.S. (edit) MrSleep beat me to it Image

It would flop like the majority of fantasy movies (fingers crossed for LoTR). Image

Helena Bonham Carter as Nalia. Posh b*tch.

But who'd play the protagonist? And what character?

And wouldn't you need BG1 first with BG2 as the sequel - Bhaal Strikes Back?

Fantasy genre - strike one.
Based on a game - strike two.

Not that I don't enjoy these things, but no-one seems to do them well. When was the last time someone made a good fantasy film (not sci-fi)? The original Conan?

BTW Cast Halle Berry as Viconia and Tia Carrera as Imoen and I will still watch it.

A BG2 film with an hour of Aerie whining about her wings would make me blow large chunks of popcorn out my nose.

Now if you had that guy who played Darth Maul as Haer'Dalis that would be kinda fun...

Just what would the main protagonist be? A Paladin?

It should be someone more in the neutral, maybe a druid. Or a cleric.

But a paladin would have this whole 'I'm good but I have the power to be evil' kinda thing going on.

With so many quests and plot twists,it would be better to be a TV series.
As for the BG1 plot, this can be done by some flashbacks in the life of the main character-memories brought back etc.
And I agree with Gruntboy,a Paladin seems ideal to show the struggle between "good" (his/her beliefs as a human) and "evil" (his/her heritage of Bhaal).
And just imagine Viconia trying to seduce a Paladin.

Ubik: tsk.tsk. I had you pegged for someone with more taste.

TV series?!?!?!? When was the last time there was something worthwhile on the idiot box. David Schimmster as Misc? Traci Gold as Nalia? Sheeesh. I need to go splash some cold water on my face. Image Image Image

Waverly, I DO HAVE A GOOD TASTE!!! That is why I like Salmita. And I do hate those other two you mentioned before.

Who is going to do a formal cast WITH Harvey Keitel in it?

Vote, ladies and gents, this topic is very interesting (I should go into the marketing bussines, damned, I would make lots of money)

Can't throw my support behind Salma. Same thing goes for a paladin - how would one with the protagonist's background find time to become a paladin. Should be something with innate power like a sorcerer.
