Please help me with the Dragons
I can't steal the eg.
Maybe if I use the crystal of peace?
The dragons are very angry and burn me in any direction.

As long as you keep moving, you should be pretty safe. The fire spell used by the drakes is slow and doesn't track.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Your probably still at a pretty weak level. The first time I went in there I was dead with one hit.
As stated if you keep moving you can make it through. It may take a few re loads before you find the locations of the eggs.
If you go back to the temple in Airdale you can purchase a ward of fire crystal which will protect you well enough but you'll still have to keep moving.

I find the eggs but the dragons are right there and I can't make any move. The dragons fire with 3 balls and extend over a large area and my shield is helpless. With ward of fire I don't know, yet.

hmm
two things you can do - I tried them both, and they both worked for me.
1) get a fire ward crystle, use it, and run like hell to a nest, pick up the egg and run like hell back again... praying you dont get stuck on any terrain
2) Go to ulm first - pick up a winter dagger there.
then when you return to the dragons, try and find some high ground you can stand on. Lure the dragon (one at a time) to your high ground and try and whack it with the dagger
the dagger is magic, and should cause the beast to freeze and fall to the floor. Keep thwacking away at it with the dagger until it dies - this is risky, fun, and nice xp for lower lvls.... did I mention it was risky? It takes some time to master this tactic (did for me anyway) but its handy
Good luck!!
and remember if you try the second tactic - use a fire ward crstyle anyway - cos sometimes the dragon unfreezes - also be very careful not to get ambushed by a second dragon as you attack the first.

Also, if you stand far enough away from a dragon, you can attack it with a ranged weapon and it won't chase you. It is really slow though to do that, so it is better to ahve one of the ice/winter wepaons as mentioned above if attacking them, just take them on one at a time. Personally, for the egg, just keep running around and have a few fire ward crystals, works for me.
a wonderful 'glitch'
the other side of drake's nests is a celestial 'temple', lure 1 dragon at a time & hook her on an opposite corner post, then take your time w/ranged weapons & ranged spells. i finished all drakes off in less than an hour, i just wish i could sell the rest of the eggs! only 1 drake kept moving so much that i had to repostion myself several times.

What I did when I was young, is I turned my view distance to 100, went to the spawning grounds and kept an eye out ofr a drake. I would keep the drake just on the edge of my view, then shoot it with ranged.
You stare upon the perch,
The sight forces your somach's lurch.
The sight you see,
Is Death glaring back at thee.
You gave it a hum,
You let it run,
Now all you see,
Is the mirror that bleeds.

Lol, thanks Blue . I like doing stealth kills over melee... if I have enough patience at the moment. I really enjoyed Thief 3. (I know the object is to leave no trace, but I loved stabbing those guards in the back of the neck with me dagger... more fun then hitting them with a billy club). The only downside to being that far away, is you have to aim manually, which is difficult as there is no sight/crosshairs. So you kinda just have to shoot repeatitively untill you find where they hit. I have noticed that if the mob is far enough away, you can use the top of your characters head as a sight. It's close from what Ive seen (when you are leveled with the head, and can see down to about the waist of the character)

I feel exactly the same, plus I just love to steal stuff out of shops or pick pockets, etc. which is really funny in my case seeing as what I do IRL. LMAO I just bought Thief - Deadly Shadows not too long ago and its pretty fun, although I wish there times when you could melee instead of being forced to the shadows all the time. Is TDS the first of them? Is T3 any different (as in allowing more freedom of choice when it comes to dealing with NPCs)?

From what I have read whilst looking for a good walkthrough, Thief - Deadly Shadows is also called Thief 3. Ive never played any other thief game, so I could not say. I play the same one as you Blue. If you need a walkthrough, by the way, I found an excellent one.

I'll take a look at it if you have a link, but I don't really need a walkthru. T3 is much easier than DL and far less fun. I like to bash someone's face in once in a while as opposed to the back of their head.
