Desperately needing help in shadow lands

Post by paulrjtx »

I have three of the four runes lighted up. I can't find the fourth. Could some one tell me in detail how to find all spots to light the runes up and finish this section. I have read all the other forums, none has helped me. Please, anyone help. I am getting so discouraged. I love the game and want to continue playing!

Did you try looking at our walkthrough for the area?

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

ANyone else notice that there have been alot of questions lately that could have been answered if the questioner had simply looked at that walkthrough? Maybe it is just me, but I am wondering if the walkthrough is a waste of time cause there have been so many people who don't use it or the other resources that are with it...

Flame me if you want, but this is simply an honest observation...

I thought the walkthrough was a great, excellent resource. Most the questions that I asked on these and other forums had to do with stuff outside of the game, like where to climb the mountains, the effects of skill points (increasing them), and stuff like that. There were not any real questions with the game that I did not find the answer in the walkthrough.

Thanks, but that's not it.

I have printed out all the walkthrough. I am a dedicated player and I do read, probably too much, acording to my wife. I specifically need help with my 4th rune, it is an incircled triangle. I am not sure if it is my case individually or a bug, but I am stuck. I have yet to find the answer from the walkthrough. That is why I specifically asked for a detailed way to resolve this matter. I hope this is what this forum is for, dedicated people that love gaming and helping others. To say that I do not read is extrememly far off. I appreciate your comment, but needed clarification. I thank all in advance for comments that are considerate and meaningful.

Sorry, I was not implying that you or anyone was not reading the walkthrough. I was just responding the above post about the walkthrough. I thought it was good.

The problem is that I do not know specifically which rune is for which task, so it is hard to trouble shoot and figure out what you still need to do (or did not fully complete).

Have you gone back to all the four areas in the walkthrough and verfied that you have 'turned on' the runes in those areas?

You have runes in the following places:
Tower Area
Wind Jumping Area
Stones Area
Kingston's Area

The Tower and Wind Jumping Area I thought were the easiest with the Kingston's Area the hardest.

It is not much help, but I suggest you go back and try to turn on all the glyphs/runes again.

Thank you

lp, it was not you, it was hounder's comment. I think I know what is wrong. There is a Authenian guardian statue unactivated. If I find a crystal to activate it, and kill it, I can enter the shadow gate leadin to the only rune I have not activated, the incircled triangle. If anyone could help me, please advise. I can not find a treasure chest in the shadow realms, help there if that is the key to the incircled triangle rune. Thanks in advance to all that answer!

Now, don't get me wrong, not everyone who is posting is just avoiding the walkthrough. With this being an international thing, not everyone can understand English. And not everyone apparently understands the walkthrough. I just wish that they would at least state that they can't understand it or something, cause it really maes me feel that they want others to do the work for them.

I doubt anybody remembers which rune symbols go with which areas. There are also multiple statues that you need to activate, so your post doesn't do much to help us help you.

If you've looked at the walkthrough, then it would help if you said which area you're working on.

I have activated the runes in the high tower, wind chamber, and the raised kiosk that falls flush with the floor when activated. I just can not for the life of me seem to unserstand or find where to enter, go, or what to do, to activate the 4th rune. I have yet to even get close. Oh, and Hounder, you are right, it sometimes, does slap you in the face. :D

I am guessing from your posts that you have activated two of the three Athena guardians. The problem is that there are three 'doors' to those awful purple islands, and a chest in each one where you get a shadow stone. It is hard to tell which two you have gotten.

If you want, you can send me your saved game and we can both look around to see if we can find it. If I find it, I will tell you where I found it and then you can go and get it yourself.

Just look at the walkthrough. It tells you specifically where to go once you go through a shadow gate.

http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords ... esarea.php

That should take you Directly to where you are in need of help. Print it out, and go to the game. Follow it, and when it says East, west, etc. it is saying an approximation. Face that certain direction, run to the edge and whatever is closest to you, is where ya need to go.
You stare upon the perch,
The sight forces your somach's lurch.
The sight you see,
Is Death glaring back at thee.
You gave it a hum,
You let it run,
Now all you see,
Is the mirror that bleeds.
