Just ask one of them what kind of shoes he's wearing, if he speaks the truth ask the direction to heaven and follow them. If he doesn't speaks the truth also ask him the path to heaven but take the other path instead...

Anyone saing sth. about tomorrow??

Anyway, he goes to the first man and asks - "If I ask the other guy about the way to heaven, which way will point me??" and it will be the other way.
Why?

If 1 always lies, he'll point the false path (because he lies

) - and second way will be right.

If 1 says the truth, he'll point the false path(because 2 lies) - and the second way will be right.

You are certainly right, this riddle is so old, that I'm not quite sure if my answer is correct ;P

It's a bit of a mind bender, but it works

If the second person is telling the truth, then you will be told a lie (since the person you're talking to is a liar).
If the second person is a liar, then you will be told a lie basically

(since the person you're talking to will tell you what he will say honestly) So it's always the opposite to what is said is the truth.

Oh, I was thinking the terms of helping as in not talking to him or shrugging and not answering, not leading in the wrong direction. I thought the guy wouldnt respond at all. Oh well, im stupid.

@ maruchan, dont worry, campaholic, plus what else turn black, to red, to white. plus white stuff all over my car, i live near the mountains in Canada where there was a giant forest fire last year.

, so a new riddle:

There is a two foot long plastic boat in the bathtub, the boat is filled with metal nuts and bolts. The boat tips over, dumping the contents into the water. With the nuts and bolts in the water, will the water level in the bathtub rise, fall or stay the same as it was when the nuts and bolts were in the boat?
