Fighting sorc (solo ofc)

Post by Yeltsu »

Allright it's me again, I had the solo pure monk thing some time ago which some of you might remember ;) (my name was Asriel then)

Anyhoo, I got bored of that after the moastery, (the 8 chambers were a breeze btw :D )

So now I am trying to get my hands on a new copy of the game (old broke, don't ask) since I had to wipe my computer after a nasty virus. I was thinking, I wanna solo again :D but something else, something more versatile. Silverdragon's Spellsword sounds intriguing, but I was never any good with wizards, so I was thinking of switching to sorcerer instead :D

The idea was that I would chose most of the buffing spells, and the better disabeling/ crowd control spells, for protection as well as crowd control.

Is this possible? Will the build work, and will I enjoy myself playing it?

EDIT: was thinking about some levels of paladin (2) and some barbarian and mayhap rogue levels as well,
This is my signature.

My only solo attempt was a paladin 2/sorcerer 28.

It was pretty easy in the beginning, turning to super easy later on. If you used more fighter levels and more buffing spells than I used, then it might be a challenge before you get Mordy's sword, but I doubt it. If you use mass destruction spells and later Wail of the Banshee, then there really is no challenge to it whatsoever in normal mode.
