Baldur’s Gate and D & D Are Truly Evil
I want to defend Waverly here (not that he needs help). His point was that the Bible has often been misunderstood and misused. For example, there is nothing in the Bible that says that we should kill people who don't believe what we believe. Yet, that didn't stop a bunch of medieval Christians, led by humans hungering for power and influence, to launch the Crusades. If you read the Bible, as I've done a little, you can see that there are tons of quotes that can be easily used to mean whatever you want them to mean (especially out of context, which is the current problem with a lot of the right wing politics in the US).
As for the Middle East, well, the Jews and Arabs are doing a pretty good job of killing themselves. Anyone who seriously reads the Bible would never wish that on anyone.

In reference to the initial post: Yeah, Yeah.. They came up with that same crap 20 years ago when D&D first came out. Apparently you aren't familiar with church history...closed-minded, right-thinking, God fearing individuals protesting the very same things you are were responsible for some of the most deplorable, violent, inhumane acts against humanity EVER. Thanks for your concern..
Now, if you don't mind, I need to summon a demon and check on my prostitutes..

IMHO all religion is a means to control a group of people. Now I do believe with out it there would be total chaos.
'Quote >'interest is to get your money ' which is what churches want too.
I'm not saying not to believe in what every you want too. I'm saying don't force your belief on me or the next person.
Alright let the flames start.

Really, you are NOT religious, well It does not look that way.Originally posted by FoulDwimmerlaik:

A principle laid down long ago by God is: " For as he thinketh in his heart,
so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of
it are the issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23). We ARE what we THINK. It is
ridiculous to believe that people, young or old, can absorb their minds with
violence, murder, human sacrifice, suicide, demonology, rape, desecration,
defecation, sadism, cannibalism, sex perversion, insanity, prostitution,
necromantics, Satan worship, witchcraft, and every other form of perverted
and violent conduct without being intensely - and perhaps permanently -
affected adversely. We ARE what we THINK!
