All right, so...being the incredibly silly (used euphemistically) person that I am, I didn't look at any walkthroughs or anything before I started on my main quest, and I chose Nar Shadaa for my first planet.
Well...now my ship has been invaded by the Red Eclipse slavers. I've killed everybody accept for the captain and two of his cronies. Every time I go to the fight...I die. I don't think I have sufficient force powers/fighting capabilities to win no matter how many times I try. If I let him live, will I get dark side points? I'm playing it through light side this the first time, so I'd like to avoid the dark side points if I could.
Any help?

another tip, if u start from the beginning of the attack, keep ur party in the same room so u can use force heal. if u dont, then people who go astray from the group are more suceptible to a fast death. grenades can definately even out the odds. if ur concerned about running out of farce powers try not to use them (except heal or ones that dont cost much force points) until u get near the captain.
COME ON, KOTOR III. I'M WAITIN!
You have to kill the captain you can't keep him alive it doesn't give you a choice. Have all your characters equipped with melee weapons and have shields on as well.
Yes, you can leave him alive. Once you've defeated all the other Red Eclipse gang members, Cahkmaht's all that's left, and you can choose to let him live by telling him that his life belongs to you.

You won't get any DS points playing as LS if you let him live, but usually I just save beforehand, do it and see what happens. It's more interesting to see the possible outcomes.

Dont worry. Many make the same mistake. Every time I play I start Nar Shaddaa first...and since you went there first, youll be back fairly soon.
Ill add to the growing list of hints and ideas... liberal use of the pause button. If you want to do this right, it requires micromanagement, something that is hard to do in this game in real time, especially when taking such a hard task. Dont be scared to use Critical Hit, Flurry, Sniper Shot or Rapid Shot. They are immensly useful, but any feat will do.
I had Kreia with me at the time, trying to get some extra Exp, so I didnt have much worry for force powers. But if you have any neutral ones, like force push or...twister? not sure... youll do fine. Stims can also help. I dont like using them myself though. If you want to finsih Nar Shaddaa first youll need those later.
