PLZ HELP
Matthew: Baby, if I saw you naked, I'd die happy. Christine: If I saw YOU naked, I'd die laughing.
Haer-Daelis is formidable, particularly once he gets to high levels and can use spells such as Stone Skin. However,he's still not as good of a fighter as Keldorn, Valygar, Mazzy, Minsc, or the other fighter characters. Moreover, I'm not sure if you'll get the mileage out of him to make him as worthwhile as Aerie.
Mazzy is a very good party member. Her strength is a bit low, but she's a competant tank with great skill with both short bow and short sword. Her special abilities are quite nice as well. If you need another tank, she's a worthy addition to your party. Personally, I prefer Keldorn. However, I like Mazzy better than Valygar or Minsc. All the tanks are solid, though. So its very much a matter of play style and personality.
Edwin is a very good mage. However, from looking at your party configuration in the other thread, it's my inclination that he would be fairly redundant for you. Your'e better off utilizing Aerie or Jan, I'd think.
You've actually got a solid party line-up with your present set up. Personally, I'd pick up Keldorn and trade in one of the rangers. If you find yourself "mage" heavy right now (and plan on picking up Imoen later on) and are committed to keeping Jaheira, you could probably make due with Jaheira as a primary healer and pick up another fighter type like Mazzy or Keldorn. Anomen is, perhaps, another option. The advantage of Anomen is that he's a full cleric, but he has more of a melee punch than Aerie due to some early fighter levels. He's quite annoying, though...
However, all in all, your party just needs to grow in levels and gear. In a little while, things will seem more doable.
You are good at advice! I Think I will dispose of aerie cuz she is always whining about the flying and the shk and its getting on my nerves. And as far as valygar goes, should i bring him to tolgeras?

Don`t get rid of Aerie! She will become quite powerful,if you want to make her a tank, sort of.First, buy the hill giant belt from Adventurers Mart, get flail of Ages from the keep and then Amulet of power from Aran. You can cast stoneskin, mirror image and other buffs to make her invunerable!Lastly,to complete her,get Drow Adamantium chain or Elven chain and a good shield.I got the armor class to -8 this way and she deals about 12 damage.Surely the fireball is worth too.
Well, when you go to the copper cornet, you will find Nalia. She will give you the D`arnise Keep quest. There you will have to find ALL 3 pieces of the flail:1 in the lion statue, the royal quard has the second one and then you will get the last head from the room with golems(or sometimes,Tor`Gal).
Aran is the Shadow Thief boss.I don`t remember if you can obtain the amulet if you side with Bodhy, but if you really want to be 100% sure then side with Shadow thieves.
err...i hope i don`t ruin your gamining expirience right now...
Drow armor can be found at the Underdark and Elven armor at the camp near Suldanessar.
Suldanesselar is in Chapter 7. You can't access it until then. Just let the plot continue and you'll eventually get access .
The Amulet of Power can either be received as a gift from Aran or by fighting him if you side with Bodhi.
Flail of the Ages: One head is near the Forge on the ground floor of the keep.
The second is on Glacias found on the first floor
The third is found on a statue in the chapel (on the 1st floor) and is the only item you can get from there without being attacked by the golems.
Keep Valygar in your party to access the Planar Sphere and after that he is unneccesary. You could kill him to access the sphere but I personally don't like killing NPC's that can join your party. It's pretty final.
I can only speak for Haer'Dalis, I haven't really tried the other two. HD can be pretty good especially at higher levels with good two-weapon fighting ability. He will cause problems if you're trying to romance Aerie though.
Edwin has more spells but is limited by being a conjurer- so he can't cast evocation spells such as Fireball.
You could just give aerie the boot and get anomen. He is very very good. Strong, comes with 2 attacks/round, and if you choose the right path in his quest, becomes an excellent cleric as well. You'll just have to put up a bit with his self-centered attitude.
If you really hate him and absolutely must choose between aerie and haer'dalis, then you should take aerie as having jaheira as your sole priest will make the game considerably harder.
Or you can just boot valygar (powerful, but really boring NPC who has almost no interaction with the party) and get them both! Haer'dalis starts off really weak, but eventually becomes a very strong character with that cool melodic chain in the planar prison, stoneskin, mirror image, spins, and tenser's transformation. Plus he can have a little romance with aerie which I've personally never seen as I've never had them both in the same party but should be quite fun .
It's a very difficult descision to make...
I like using minsc because he is incredibly strong, and I like using Jaheira for her elemental and woodland summons, and I use her to beat that witch in the druid grove because Cernd is weak even in Werewolf. I traded Valygar for Keldorn, which was good. I dont really want to get rid of Aerie because she is my main Cleric, and since I am only a Conjurer, and have no priest spells, I would have to use Jaheira and Minsc's minimal spells. I want to get rid of Aerie for someone like Haer' Dalis or Anomen, but it would put me in a difficult position. And I am going to keep Yoshimo until he betrays me and I kill him, and then I will get Imoen.
What should I do?
Matthew: Baby, if I saw you naked, I'd die happy. Christine: If I saw YOU naked, I'd die laughing.
I'm stuck inside the planar prison and I am having problems...
Well I found good bard items in there so I created a bard and it is quite good, but i dont know if it can hold up to all that power in the planar prison...
Is there a way to leave it?
Matthew: Baby, if I saw you naked, I'd die happy. Christine: If I saw YOU naked, I'd die laughing.
Not once you've entered. Who's in your party, and what level is that party, in general?
In addition, I suggest you start a new thread with your current problem, and a title reflecting that problem. You'll get more attention from people who have already posted here, think you have your answers, and aren't going to bother to look again.
