Baldur’s Gate and D & D Are Truly Evil
Rofl!
It's funny to see how Grunty ALWAYS manages to turn a serious topic into something that can either be annoying or simply downright funny. Mm, would that mean he can't follow the serious nature of the thread? That he always has to fool around? Reminds me of some creatures in a mud pool, who are ... well, PIGS!!

Well I mean, some people can be soooo serious. I try to be good, really I do, look! I was conversing with a fellow alumni... but my cheeky side always gets the better of me Maurice.

Yeah if I'm at all to blame then I apologize for bringing everyone down. This thread has made my workdays go by alot faster though, so I thank youse all for giving me the opportunity to speed up this monotony I put up with daily. ugh
I see the right, and I approve it too; condemn the wrong and yet the wrong pursue.
Same for me hermetic. You, Phil, Foul, and Grunty took my mind off of what would otherwise be a very busy week. But, that also tells me that the title of this discussion topic should be:
"GameBanshee and it's Forum are Truly Evil"

Hmmm. Gimp, eh? I've got to check these topics more frequently, I never noticed that Le Grunt had come out with this wicked attack against me.

I give to charity for two reasons; 1) Tax breaks, and 2) to secure my place in heaven.

Actually (IMO) there is nothing more intolerant than religion. 'The Moral Majority is neither' has always been one of my favorite sayings from 20 years ago. I am conservative and vote Republican but hold to moderate conservative beliefs. ('If you're not Liberal in your 20's then you have no heart. If you're not Conservative in your 40's then you have no brain'). Abortion is between a woman and her conscience/god and none of my business (until the government uses my tax money to fund it). I do believe that Roe v Wade needs to stay on the books because I remember the abortion butcher before it was legal. I will protect my rights as set forth in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States with force if I have no other recourse. But do believe that a too 'liberal' interpretation of some of those rights is detrimental to society as a whole.
Please stop me!!!!

If you look at places like Palestine, Yugoslavia or Northern Ireland, people kill others by the name of God. I think that's disgrace. What/who you believe in is not necessrily what others believe in, and that should be respected.
Charity should be considered separately. Most of religion includes charity as part of their deeds, but it can be done without religion.

Minerva; Well, in that respect you are correct. And I should have made myself clearer in that when the decision to abort or not is a mutual concern then it's their business and still none of mine (unless I'm part of that need).
I have to agree with Buck about charity. Even in most religions it is still more an act of status rather than an act of piety. Mother Theresa being one of the few exceptions I can think of.
