Hmm... I'll have to find more scientific riddles
.
The answer I was given:
Due to the weight and construction of the nuts and bolts the water level lowers.
Well done, again, Nar. They obviously have good teaching methods where you are...
Was it for the teaching?? I don't know, but I doubt it - I'm just as crazy as you are

I thought you said they worked riddles into your lessons. That's some crazy curriculum
.
Well, it least you didn't have to go through 600 riddles like pk did. Foolish vow to find out the answer. Gotta admire his persistence though.
How good are you at maths?
Continue this pattern: 1, 2, 3, 5, ?, ?
And I'm not crazy. Much. *runs away hysterically screaming*

Oh, I thought you were talki...writing about my translation. In this case, yep lessons helped a lot(but it doesn't mean I'm not crazy
)

Your translation is good enough. Does that mean you'd solve the riddles even faster (if you weren't having translation problems)? Tsk.
Here's the answer:
1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, so the next number is 8.
5+8=13, so the 5th digit is 13.
Another mathematical riddle:
If three cats catch three mice in three minutes, how many cats would be needed to catch 100 mice in 100 minutes?

Nah, I don't think I would answer them faster...
If you are unlucky today, the answer would be sth like that:
why do you ask, just leave the job to that three cats ...

You could, but the riddle asks if those 3 cats would be able to catch all 100 mice in 100 minutes. Longer than that isn't acceptable

1 cat gets 1 mouse in 3 min
1 cat gets 33 mice in 99 min
3 cats get 99 mice in 99 min
3-4 cats - is this it??

The answer:
The same three cats would do. Since these three cats are averaging one mouse per minute, given 100 minutes, the cats could catch 100 mice.
No more riddles for now

Today's first Riddle of the Day:
Old Mr. Tidy was found dead in his study by Mr. Fiend. Mr. Fiend recounted his dismal discovery to the police. "I was walking by Mr. Tidy`s house when I thought I would just pop in for a visit. I noticed his study light was on and I decided to peek in from the outside to see if he was in there. There was frost on the window, so I had to wipe it away to see inside. That is when I saw his body. So I kicked in the front door to confirm my suspicions of foul play. I called the police immediately afterward." The officer immediately arrested Mr. Fiend for the murder of Mr. Tidy. How did he know Mr. Fiend was lying?

The frost - he couldn't have wiped it away from the outside, because frost appears inside.

he who buys it doesn't need it,
he who needs it doesn't know it.

then it would seem my not-so-extensive knowledge of riddles is now obsolete.

And it flavours your spaghetti sauce very nicely
I still stick to my original answer, though
