I've read alittle bit about this but they seem super complex and vague, will simply 2 computers with a USB link be enough?
If not does anyone know how to link up the 2 for this to work?
Me and my mate are both running the same edition and both on Xp machiens etc etc

I more primitive connection would work... Go to the antique section @ the PC store and ask for a RS232 serial cable... Check out the back of both PC's to see if you'll want the wide (16-pin), or narrow (9-pin) one. Verify Genders...
This will create a "null modem" connection.
You want something like this:

I've never used one... But from http://www.laplink.com I see that the company sells all sorts of cables. If you've got their serial cables, then probably. If you've got some of the others, probably not.
