Celestial Useful?

Post by Fatal Spirit »

Is celestial tree really useful? I mean, adepts are mostly celestial, and celestial heals, but this isn't WoW where you need priest, so wouldn't you just need damage spells, and lots of potions?

Also, I am thinking about starting an all-out mage, would that be good? or should I make a mage, that also uses a sword. What trees, skills should I make?

yes celestrial is useful, one of there branches is a paladan so you cna weid heavy weapons armors and shields, also there are some pretty good celestrial star crystals... although i would say arcane magic is better but celestrial is good for a second class

You can make a powerful character with adept/mage or adept/fighter.
Adepts get good weapons and armor bonuses. It makes life much easier if you have multiple bonuses in the same statistic making advancement much cheaper. So if you take fighter/adept/knight/paladin/lord you have 5 bonuses in light and medium armor and 5 bonuses in light and medium weapons, 3 bonuses in heavy armor and 3 in heavy weapons. This combo makes, arguably, the strongest fighter possible. Fire ward is very useful. 15 to 20 heal spells (cheap) and you can sell all those heal potions. Lightning makes a fine primary weapon. Lightning has the benefit of nothing being immune to it. So you can go with a third tier celestial and finish the game easily with lightning as your whole offense (quite fun by the way). Solar ray is a cheap secondary weapon that makes short work of bats, bees and those pesky snakes. If you want to go the mage route then adding adept/ paladin again gets you some much needed armor and weapons bonuses plus the defensive spells. Anyhow, this is just my 2 cents on the celestial guild. D

Humm.... Where did u get that LIGHTNING crystal ? i have some 6 different ones but not that. I´m Trickster/Deathlord and still invested ALL of those Arcane/Celestial/Rune skills a few points each, and are VERY happy that i did. They give me good edge while been used a combination with pure melee attacks.
Summer is beautiful ..... i am NOT .

You may not be able to buy them unless you join the celestial guild. They are only sold at the celestial temple in fargrove. I've never had one drop from a creature or pop out of a chest. D

Ialso .like the divine strike crystal. It adds damage to your weapon and i think keeps damaging enemies after you hit them. i made short work of ulm with that spell and was never really in danger of getting killed.
