Marcus comes weak in a time. When ur own unarmed grows he is just in ur way in big battles. I use Marcus to get Sierra Vault´s turrets off with Rocket Launcer. But after that he´s useless. Only sulik is good in battle. And maybe Cassidy at low lvl. With Tommygun... I just started to see how Sulik will do in unarmed combat. he looks amazing skill full in start but when i see him action with best armors and Mega Power fist ill inform u more... With Super Sledge hammer he does this wicked damage and sends enemies to 20 step away...
Lynette (The first citizen in Vault City).
Just kidding, I hate that *****.
I've always liked Cassidy. I felt sympathy over his bar Marcus is nice too.
At the end they are all pain in the ass. Always dying, always standing at the doorways. Playing solo is less frustrating.

I almost forgot the doctor in Broken Hills. He's not important character and is still one of my favourites. Just met him again and shared a humorous conversation. It's pretty rare to NPC have such a warm and human-like personality. Sense of humor is one of the basic ability of human being and still npcs don't never have it. Why? I mean they can say funny things, but they always react strictly to what you say to them. This particular doctor just laughed at me, when I gave an icy comment about his doctor skills and started very relaxing conversation. Offered two healings without a charge at the end.
If you haven't talked to him, you definetely should (might require some int though. I have 8 points).
Just these kinds of "unimportant" things make this game special. Developers have put much time to conversations and all kind of other details, which don't affect strictly to the plot or even any quest. They just are there to make the world more interesting and realistic. Nowaday's games are most just getting money from the mass by using some known brands, without actually doing nothing to the things like this. Then they wonder why people play a single game only about week/two.
People, who are going to work with games should be forced to play Fallout2 so they could see a good game and learn from it.

Death to Marcus
Marcus is a waste of money. He uses rocket launchers on rats, mini-guns on insects, and when I finally get to fight enclave soldiers, he punches them and tries to use the flame thrower!
Sure, I could give him fewer weapons, but I never know what will come up, and he switches all the time! Okay, he would be pretty fun if he didn't kill my dogs every chance he gets. Also, he always uses energy grenades on living targets! "No, Marcus, those are for robots, not humans."
Dogmeat, Robot Dog, Cyborg Dog, and Cursed Dog (well, he doesn't kill the cursed one, because the thing avoids combat and is a tank anyway)
On a side note, will the effects of the cursed dog and the Jinxed Optional Trait stack? I don't know if they do, but I love critical misses! And with all those dogs, I get to see a bunch of them.

The Cloaked Figure
Oh, man, the death claw you free at the vertibird base also rocks.
He leaves because his clan needs him. If you go to his clan, you find them all slaughtered, and only your friend survived. After this, he joins your party for good and wears an awesome robe. When combat starts, he throws it back in a very cool animation. Plus, he looks very menacing when he walks around with it on.

I never had problems with Marcus using the wrong gun because I only gave him one: the turbo plasma rifle. Then, I had Vic, Cassidy, and Skynet using gauss rifles in addition to my Bozar. Damn, that was a helluva lot of fun
Favourite character though? Frank Horrigan. He was damn scary and his death animation was wicked.

"It's not whether you get knocked down, it's if you get back up."
I think marcus is best with BOZAR, or v/windicator anyway. It must be saved until horrigon in my opinion, he may be weak against powered armors, but makes horrigan angry enough.
Mcclure is a cool fella, maybe the best person u may find in Vault city.
Miria must be the worst. Being the girl of chosen, may not consist of following him to the navarro base
