i found lavoc and used cloudkill before i could see him. this damaged him a lot and then i went closer and he did the initial dialogue. the problem is that he did not talk any further about the heart or anything. i just keep kickin his ass and nothing happens.

thanx. i started back a little further and am goin to do it the old fashioned way (combat style). rite now im tryin to kill mind flayers....... lots of fun!! they are a bitch to kill.

mind flayers depend on what you're playing as. my monk could go toe-to-toe with four or five of them and come out a winner 3 out of 4 times. most cool. the trick with them though is distance weapons and heavy magic like spell sequencing magic missles.

Mindflayers employ brain-eating attacks which take away around 5 points of int on every successful hit, and when you run out of int, you die. Which can be a real bummer for those low int tankers. Use summon undead, they are immune to the Psionic Blast attacks as well as the brain-eating melees, since undeads have no brain Image

Hey, remember all those low-int Paladins? They sacrificed their Int score to boost up everything else ... and they have in general an Int of 3 or so ... one Mind Flayer only has to hit them, and they can go six feet under.
