How to equip dual weapons, and rings?

Post by daskind »

Ok, I am a 11th level elf female that has just attained Deathlord status. When I try to equip two medium weapons (elf fire sword and vodoo mace), they will not both equip. They merely substitute and replace each other.
How to I equip two medium melee weapons?
I've noticed the same thing with rings and bracelents/charms. You cannot equip exactly the ones you want because certain ones just swap back and forth.
Is this another glitch?

Thanks.

With dual weapons, the problem may be related to weapon length. I have the light dual weapons skill and the secondary weapon must have less than a 6' range. Otr maybe 5'9, i'm not sure. So for you, maybe your secondary weapon must be medium and have a range less than a certain amount, probably 6' or 5'9. that's how I'm understanding my light dual weapons skill.

Thanks to Ferncliff, i know how to equip rings now cuz it worked. in order to equip any combination of 4 rings and 2 trinkets that you want to wear... drop every ring an trinket except the ones you want to be wearing on the ground. once yer desired rings are on, pick up the ones you dropped. For some reason the game will allow you to put on any 4 rings, as long as they are the only 4 in your possession when you try to put them on. Same deal with trinkets.

What I have read (and would love to find out it is untrue) is that Kamas, Wakizashi and Kris blades are the only weapons which will go in to the off hand. This would mean that ‘medium dual weapons’ doesn’t work at all. BadMutha you really got a rusted axe in your off hand? D

Heavy weapon with medium dual?

Its what I am hoping will work once i get my dual medium status. I can use a medium weapon and a light weapon at the same time with only 'light' dual wield capability...so it stands (to some length of reason) once i get 'medium' dual wield status i can wield heavy with a medium in my off hand...anyone know if it works?

The only medium weapon that can be dual wielded in the off hand is the rusted axe. I've never verified it myself, but enough people have said it that it must be true. ;)

Some heavy weapons can be dual wielded in the primary hand (I used the no-dachi of winter the last time I played), but I have no idea what the rule is for which work and which don't.

i think its possibly a translation error, it should probably say 2nd weapon.. i have a katana+1 and a gold wakizashi. so i think california is probably right. a heavy weapon as primary and a medium as a 2nd weapon.

You can use a heavy weapon with a light weapon in the off hand. Or a medium weapon with a light weapon in the off hand. You can not put a medium weapon in the off hand. This is simple stuff people.
