Fallen Paladin

Post by Detrius »

When does a cavalier lose his paladin status ( what reputation ). When I was completing the paladin stronghold quests and had to protect the girl a bug occured and the guy collecting her never showed up. When I killed her my rep went down to ten and when I went back to the radiant heart and they kicked me out because I had fallen.I reloaded and just went on with the game but when I accidently killed a commoner later on and my rep went down to ten I don't think I lost my paladin status. I can still cast lay on hands and I still have the +2 to my saves. What else are the benifits of being a paladin that you lose if you fall?

I've just read in the BGI manual that u lose it at rep 6, but then why did I lose paladin status when I killed the Girl from the paladin stronghold quest?

That might be because messing up the stronghold quest with a paladin means you are not worth being a paladin?

What you actually also lose when you become Fallen is all the Cleric Spells that yoù get. There is no more God for you..you can't use his power, and thus you actually become just a fighter who is pretty crap compared to other fighters.

Why did you kill that girl in the first place? That isn't very paladiny anyway, even for a game bug.

Boredom? :D

You lose lay on hands, turn undead, immunity to disease, protection from evil, detect evil, your +2 to saves, any priest spells, and any kit bonuses (+'s to hit, immunities etc.). You also cannot specialise beyond ++ (i.e. you are a fallen paladin, not a fighter).

Nope...but all the stuff like spells etc. make up for that...however being a fallen paladin you are more or less just a fighter who can't specialize......

And nobody respects a fallen paladin. Your family will disown you, your girlfriend will dump you, your dog will bite you, and the barkeep will forclose on your tab.
