Inventory Models

Post by Nuoa »

Hey this is my first post on the forum, so hello to u all :D

I've used the Advanced Search but I couldn't find any info that I need for my question. It has been a long time since I played BG2 again but I'm familiar to the game though. (I stop playing after I finished Underdark) Also to BG1.

I like the game and all but there's just one thing I get really annoyed by and that really is: THE INVENTORY MODELS, they where looking way cooler in BG1 and IWD. So I was wondering: Is there a possability to change these to a better looking model like in BG1 and IWD? And if so will things like weapons and stuff also look cooler :D ? btw can it be done with SK?

That was it, I hope u guys understand my problem and sorry for the bad english.

You may want to take a look at One Pixel Productions.

From the README :
This mod changes the paperdolls and inventory icons of Baldur's Gate II to those of Baldur's Gate. There's a lot of stuff in Baldur's Gate 2 (especially in the ToB expansion) that simply doesn't live up to the artwork quality that Baldur's Gate offered--the paperdolls are a good example. Whether it's just been sloppy work on the developer side, or something else, I do not know. This mod aims to replace exactly these parts of the game with content that lives up to the quality we were used to from the original Baldur's Gate. So, technically speaking, this is an attempt to fix "cosmetic flaws" that should have never made it through QA.

Wow. I should have had this ages ago. Perhaps you should post this in the reference crossroads!

Indeed, this mod really improves the look and feel of characters in the game for me.

I agree. This mod improves BG2's visual aspect alot.

There's only one thing I do not like : the Human Fighter Female (when not wearing any armor). It looks like a women in bathingsuit (sp?)
