password in fargrove

i left the jail and dellinger gave me the password now what? who am i supposed to give the password to? i go to mr. gribbs and nothing seems to happen he just keeps asking what the password is?

Hate to tell you this but that happened to me also. Now if you do not wish to join the thieves guild it is really no problem; that I know of. But if you want to get a couple of quests and join the Mystery Guild then I think you may need to restart the game. I had to restart.

so in order for me to use this password i have to belong to a guild (thieves) and start the whole game over? man i have already spent hours building my strength, vitality, honor, etc up to go back into the catacombes ....been there once already good lord...there has got to be an easier way than starting over......

No. The password allows you to get into the area where the Mystery Guild is located. you do not need to belong to that guild, in fact you could not belong to that guild since they are inside the slums. If you want to join the guild you will need to get that password to work. i could not get the password to work for me so I started over. Maybe someone else knows something.

Yes, that is the correct door for the password you get from the guy you bail out of jail.

actully this is a bug but not a bad one, just talk to derlinger again and make sure he leaves the jail, then you should be able to give the password(i had this problem when i started playing and this fixed it) so its ok so just do that and you should be able to go into the place- try saying lady of evergrav to derlinger that usally works and then you stop talking to him and make sure he leaves
