Enhancing Ossus Keeper Robes

Is there a way to use an overlay or underlay with the Ossus Keeper robe? I can get it to show up in the armor list for enhancements but all the overlays and underlays say they are incompatible.

If I remember, in the game the description says "Non-upgradable", a long with "can not equip Bao-Dur". this means that it cant have either. If you want upgradable Robes, id go for Zal Shey Robes or armour, of any kind, since they are the next best, and are upgradable.

I didnt use either. I used the (cant remember the word) apprentice robes.

The Ossus Keeper robes don't say whether they are upgradeable or not but they show up in the upgrade workbench along with the Dark Jedi Knight Robe and Handmaiden's Robe that say they can be upgraded with some underlays. Other robes don't show up at all including at least the Dark Jedi Robe, Baran Do Novice Robe and Baran Do Sage Robe. I tried upgrading the Dark Jedi Knight Robe and Handmaiden's Robe with a Strengthening Underlay Mark V but it's not compatible. I haven't gotten any robe to accept any underlay yet. One of the frustrating things for me with this game is it doesn't tell you which underlays the robes will take but it's not really a big deal.

I used to favor Jedi armor a lot but stopped using them once I found out the impact of their Dexterity bonus limiters. I got a Baran Do Sage Robe this time around and use that instead of Ossus Keeper b/c they both have +4 Wisdom and Baran Do Sage has a higher Defense bonus. My defense seems to be much higher with the robe than armor. The best Jedi Armor I have now is Jal Shey Advisor Armor (Defense +3) which gives me an overall defense of 37. With the Baran Do Sage Robe (Defense +2) my overall defense is 54. Hopefully I can find some better armor though. For the last two battles I'll try it out with both armor (with hopefully 60% defense bonus against energy/lightsaber attacks) and a +4 wisdom robe to see what the difference is.

I just noticed that the Force Powers guide here doesn't list Battle Precognition. Something to add if anyone can do a screen capture.

Upgradable robes can only be equipped with a few selected upgrades.

Underlays: Enviromental Mark 1-5, Biorestorative Mark 1-5
Overlays: Armorply Mark 1-2

I know, it sucks ass really bad. All I want is an Ossus Keeper Robe with +3 strength and constitution. Is that too much to ask? Oh, and it would be nice to have better bonuses with the Jedi Master robe than Defense Bonus: 3 and Regenerate FP: 1!

I didnt know that.

I truly believed that the Ossus keeper robes couldnt be upgraded. Do you mind telling me where I made my mistake?

And we know it should be better for Jedi Robes, however, the programmers tend to disagree.

Yeah, that would be sweet. I just made an Environmental Mark 5, Biorestorative Mark 5 and Armorply Mark 2 (also a Mark 3 to verify it wouldn't work). The +3 constitution increases my constitution modifier by 2 giving me an extra 2HP per level. Not a bad trade off for one Defense point. Thanks Revan Reborn!

I had only tried a few over and underlays: the ones I found and the ones I was interested in (strengthening and energy shielding ones) but none of them worked so I gave up. I just noticed the description for the upgrades that work with robes say:

Special: Upgrade Item, Armor and Robes

I didn't think to look for something like that because robes show up under armor for both the upgrade bench and at merchants but I'll know to look for that in KotOR III!

Did you try it and have it fail? I just made the items and upgrading worked. I didn't try those particular ones because I didn't want to go through every type and I wasn't interested in them at the time.
