I think its in Talendor, right? If it is, then he is near the mountains in the south east of the area, near the narrow gap that leads southeast towards Bolen Fields, Fargrove, etc. If you get anywhere near him, he will attack you with fire balls or some similar spell.
Remind me where you're supposed to look for him if its not Talendor. I might be getting this quest confused with another.

It is Talendor. From the Crossroad outside Fargrove head North towards Bolen Fields. At the Shrine of Celestial Light head West until you hit the mountain range and then go North. After a while you will find him.
Alternatively, head North from Arindale along the eastern side of the river until you come to a Post showing the way to Talendor. Head East, North, East and then go south past the Chamber of Spirits.

Hello. I am also having problems finding the character needed to complete the paladin quest... I'm positive that i've canvassed the entirety of talendor, both north and south of the ruined castle and around the shore and moongate.
Is there some sort of bug that would prevent me from getting credit had i killed him? to be honest, i'm not sure if i've killed him or not, as i don't know what he looks like or where exactly he is. what i do know is that when i go to the temple of the empyrean the elf there acts like i didn't complete the quest, and the logo on my character screen is still grayed out.. do i need to go to fargrove temple to get the credit?
any help is greatly appreciated... thanks.

Paladin Quest
I got to Talendor and spent my time fighting off a bunch of monsters and
I kept returning to the ruins of Talendor. I did this several times and then
the 'unholy knight' and a bunch of friends showed up east of the ruins.
I have had no bugs so far in the game and am now an Adept/Mage/Paladin/
Battlemage (to be ) but it seems like they strike randomly. I got to Talendor
thru Arindale heading north then east. The 'unholy knight' showed up fairly
quickly after I reached the ruins. I would hang around the ruins and he should
show up.
Good Luck!
