Becoming a Knight
HI guys, been playing this game for around 20 hours now and have a few problems.
I started off as a Fighter --> Mage --> Imperial --> Battle Mage but i cant become a Knight, i really want to be a knight. I know that there ar more powerful classes but knights are cool. I read the walkthrough and it said i have to kill the Black Knight in Bolen Fields. The Knight doesnt show up and ive been running around for ages trying to find him. I have level 8 Parry, Level 5 Medium Shield and Armor which are the prerequestest. All my stats are over 35. I was thinking that perhaps i need to find the Sword of light or whatever to join the fighters guild as an initiation quest but the cant find the sword and I cant get the knight quest either.

Ypou ahve already joined imperial. You will not be able to become a kinight. You are only allowed to follow one path in any particular guild you join. This means a total of 2 first tier classes ( in your case - fighter and mage), 2 second tier classes (battlemage and imperial), and one third tier class ( which you have yet to do).
If you want the knight, then you will have to start from a save that is prior to your choosing the imperial class, or start a new character.

Yes, pick another base class (Mage, Adept, or Rogue) and join the apropriate guild. Complete the initiation quest and they will offer you a choice of 2nd tier classes that stem from that base class. Example: if you join the Mage guild and become a Mage, the guild will offer to train you as a Sorcerer or Battlemage. At that time you could choose one or you could report to the eastern house and choose to train as a Shugenja. Remember, you must actually "join" the house and complete the initiations in order to be offered these paths. Hope this helps.
In addition to the guilds that golden_efreeti mentioned, if you are female, then you gain more options. While you still choose one other guild to be your other 1st tier class, you can use the Sisterhood guilds to obtain the other 2nd tier class. But, in order to do this, you have to be female and have initiated the Sisterhood quest in fargrove. If you are not female, then you will not be able to do this at all.

Does that make you get a class tier from doing the tiger quest, the one you have listed is for the dragon one, I dont think so, but I'm still very new to this game also... it does not seem right for everyone have to use up one of their class's to complete some main quest.
and
----------------------------------------------------------------
11 - House of the Dragon
Although this house seems like a guild, it’s not, so go ahead and talk to Master Ahn-Po and let him give you a quest. He’ll ask you to steal a fire drake egg from the drake breeding grounds west of Arindale, and to deliver the egg to the House of the Tiger in Arindale. You’ll earn a heraldry bonus if you do.
Note: There’s a “cabinet chest” here that you can pick open for loot

You need to go get the dragon egg for the house of tiger. It's not a guild quest. You don't want to go to the forbidden lands yet. After that consider getting your second second tier class, you can do this before getting the egg if you want. Also I have 2 words for you armor and fire ward (that might be 3 words). Then continue your quest to talk to emmindor. D
PS if you haven't already start keeping multiple saves.
