Surprisingly, Windows Media Player 10 does a pretty good job.

I also like MusicMatch Jukebox.

dBpowerAMP Music Converter. Converts single audio files and rips cd's.

Thanks everyone. Running Windows 2000 on this computer so I am limited to WMP 9.

I'm probably just going to recommend converting CD Audio to WMA and place that on an MP3 Player. Unless anyone knows of a program converting directly from the CD Audio (.cda) to mp3. Otherwise files would need to be copied from the CD to WMA and then converted again.

I used to use dbPower Amp. But since getting my iPod I highly recommend iTunes for ripping :) . Seems to handle the ID3 tags better than any other software.

Is that specifically for iPods or can it be used with other players?

It is a player :D but it isn't restricted to iPods at all.
