ok, have got through a lot fo the chapter 2 and 3 side quests and have just nuked the thieves guild for boddi.
i fancied a change in my party make up (going to go evil for a while) and so wanted to find yoshimo and edwin, but i cant:
yoshimo: i never allowed him into my party when i met him in irenicus' dungeon but he should be in the copper coronet. i have looked everywhere but cant find him - any ideas where he hides or if i can spawn him?
edwin: some guides say talk to renal bloodscalp about edwin who is in the shadow thief guild. having just killed everyone there i cant find renal bloodscalp - how can i find edwin/ get him in my party?
any pointers on how to find either of these two elusive characters would be appreciated. cheers.
Lost NPCs - Edwin and Yoshimo! HELP!
You should find Edwin on the third floor of Mae'Var's guild house-next door to Kangaxx's gaff in the docks but I'm not sure if he only spawns in after you've begun Renal's missions.
As for Yoshi, as Rav says, if you left him in Chateau Irenicus he won't be anywhere.

I think Mae'var has to tell the PC to report to Edwin before he turns up. If Renal is gone, that stops the whole Mae'var quest (if it hasn't been started).the_limey wrote:You should find Edwin on the third floor of Mae'Var's guild house-next door to Kangaxx's gaff in the docks but I'm not sure if he only spawns in after you've begun Renal's missions.
is it possible to start renal's missions after you take out the shadow thieves? or do you need yoshi to be able to take them?
If Renal is gone, then you can't meet Edwin. Siding with Bodhi makes Renal disappear.

who thought my impatience with yoshi would gimp my entire game!

Hardly. Just load in an NPC mod. There are at least two excellent sorceror mods available, with quality as good as anything native to BG2.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Did you leave Yoshi in there or tell him to meet you at a major tavern/inn? Nevermind, I reread your post, and since you never allowed him in he should be near the bottom door of the copper coronet, by the special bonus cd's merchant. Edwin you would have to taken renals quest to find proof of Mae'vars treachery and after you do enough quests for Mae'Var he will redirect you to Edwin who you do quests for him then Mae'Vars quests again and Edwin asks you to let him in your party to fight Mae'Var. If you tell him you dont need him he will be on the stairs of the Copper Coronet. However if you never did Mae'Var quests then im not sure if he is there. Hope this helps.

What many people have never raelised is that if you side with Bodhi, Yoshimo will never join you again. You can have him in the party, and if you join with her he will stay, however if you kick him out before or afterwards, then he will leave.
As for Edwin, I believe you have to do the Mae'var quest and you can only do that before siding with Bodhi.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but at least you now know.
