Fable:The Lost Chapters
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but i've been looking at screen shots and reading all I can about this expansion.
One word about this game for me is: NERGASM
yes even those of us in a soon to be marital relationship can be struck with this act of complete loserness.
I've been playing the game for about 36 hours strait right now,and already beaten the game and i think microsoft and lionhead studios have a good idea going on. The first Fable is way to short.
I just hope my fiance gets sick again in september after i buy this expansion that way I wont get the talks about ignoring her while i play it.
Share your thoughts with me on this one..

I played the X-Box version as well. It was far too short, it lacked plot and role playing depth, and I was left feeling I had a snack and not an RPG meal. While I imagine the Lost Chapters will be an improvement, in that it will feature expanded content, I'm still having trouble getting excited about it. Basically, the previews I've seen haven't really provided any new information about this additional content. I'm somehow anticipating that the "new content" will be a dozen new ugly tatoos, a couple new haircuts, and a couple new gestures (Do the developers really think the playerbase is screaming for dozens of new gestures? How about some dialogue instead? Or...and maybe this is crazy talk... some NPCs that actually have personalities.).
Anyway, it may be good. But, if you've already played the X-Box version, my guess is that the game will be 95% repeat for you. I really don't envision there being too much new original plot-centered content. Perhaps, there will be a few hack and slash quests added that fill up an additional few hours. And, maybe, we'll get lucky and the dragon encounter will actually happen. However, I doubt it will be a radically different game from what we are already use to. After all the game is really aimed at PC players who have not tried the original Fable, more than existing Fable fans.

Yeah i had this talk earlier today and you know what i found out...It was like momentary appreciation because I just looked at this new content stuff....
Still gonna buy it simply because it'll give me somthing to day on my weekends.
I love the RPG's and all, but when i get loaded down with work and stuff, its easier to appreciate a simple game like fable. So who knows, when it comes out I'll tell you if its good or not.

I've been keeping up with this title as well... although i am dissapointed to hear that they were only adding about 30% more content. To me, if they were to add maybe double the content then this would be an awesome, run-out-and-buy-immediately title.
Still seems like a good addtion though, I know i'll buy it for the Xbox if nothing more for the plot additions.

Uhh, I danno about anyone else, but im almost positive that this baby is a computer exclusive, like Halo for the PC only with more content. I havent herd anything about a Xbox version of this being released.

The developers have actually discussed, according to some of the LC interviews, making the additional features and content available as a cheaper priced "expansion" for the X-Box version. We'll see if that actually happens. As far as I know, no release date or final word has been set on this.

From Gamespot website, this came from a press release.Microsoft Game Studios announced today that Fable: The Lost Chapters, currently in development for Windows and slated to release this September, will also be available in late Fall for Xbox. Fable: The Lost Chapters builds upon the original best-selling Fable with loads of new content including new regions, quests and enhanced story elements that further enhance the mystical world of Albion. Fable: The Lost Chapters gives players the chance to fight new monsters, use epic spells to obliterate huge numbers of enemies, don new armor, wield additional weapons and interact with friends and foes using amazing new expressions.

Although the cost has not yet been decided, I believe that the price was estimated at 20 dollars (us) for the xbox version. For me, a mac user and owner of fable for xbox, it is not so much an issue of pity as of practicality. I could buy this game for the mac for 50 dollars or i could buy it for xbox for 20 dollars. It's just cheaper, assuming the estimated price is genuine.

Exactly we dont know how much this is going to be, it could be like Ninja Giaden Black, not saying that expensive, but thats still $30 (us) for a game that weve already played!!!
Meh, ure right pitty was a wrong word to use, its not so much of that is another way to make money by milking a franchise. Just give me my Fable 2

Yeah...that's like saying that PC version is a pity release for those who don't own an X-Box. Anyway, actually, my vote is that its another way to make money on a mediocre game. All in all, it's actually a fairly smart move, as Fable has a large built in X-Box audience. But, yeah, 19.99 or so was the estimated cost of the X-Box version.

Thats entirely true, your absolutly right, owning both a PC and an Xbox(amung other consoles) I was never denied the right to play Fable, and now all the PC owners that do not own a Xbox(i bought a xbox for Fable) get a chance to play it, so you absolutly right, but then again, Fable TLC offers more story line, enemies, armor, and a few new weapons so its not as horrible as the Halo release on the PC. Regardless I cant wait for Fable TLC to be released on the 20th for the computer, and the near furture for the xbox, probebly rent the xbox version just to see if they add anymore stuff, anyone know if itll b a straight port from the comp?
