Who is the other hero in the Bowerstone Tavern? (Secret Bowerstone Quest)

Post by superaaron »

I have already completed the game and was starting a new because I was bored. I let the boy die on the rose cottage quest because I failed a boast. I went to the tavern to play the card pairs game to make alittle money for some potions. She was standing in the corner just behind the dealer with a bunch of trophies around her. She was glowing green so I spoke to her and she said crap some crap about how the hero life is not for everyone. When I left Bowerstone and came back she was gone. Is this the quest nobody has been able to figure out? I heard it was in Bowerstone somewhere. I even saved my game while I was speaking to her and loaded it and she was gone. She had short dark hair and glasses pulled down on her nose. If anyone could help it would be great.

That sounds like Briar Rose. I don't remember seeing her in the tavern, but I've spoken to Thunder in the Bowerstone schoolyard. I think those conversations are just there for flavor.

Now that you mention it did look just like the Briar Rose doll I had in my last game. Does anyone if you can do more than just talk with them?

It is Briar Rose. She'll be in the tavern mocking you when you speak with her early in the game. The conversation is just there for color, there's no other point to it.

Briar Rose makes Thunder look like a well developed character. I'm a bit surprised they didn't do more with her. Maybe she is fleshed out a bit in the Lost Chapters.

You should see her later in the game, briefly. When you are racing against Jack at the very end of the game, her and Thunder both help out in various places. Or, at least, they did in my play through (good aligned character..., though I'm not sure if that makes any difference).

Ya, shes sappose to develop her-self a little more in TLC, there may actully be a little conflict involving you and her, I cant say anymore though, so you may have to wait Faust to find the answer to your question.
