Liliy's Diary problem

Ok, I did all the steps and found the red car. I even get the trunk open but I can't get the diary out to save my life. I try to approach from different angles and levels but not use pop up appears. I have already installed the 1.2 patch and it didn't help this problem. Any suggestions?

Same problem. No pop-up. If you can pick it up, it will glow click on it to pick it up.

if it glows click with what the "E" key. I have clicked it continually. Not only does the diary never glow but I also can't get the freezer code from the computer or from the blood bank guy. I even tried the one in the walk through and it didn't work. Any suggestions?

this mission is VERY linear - if you haven't read the diary, the rest just simply will not happen.

I suggest saving just as you approach the car, then reloading each time it does not work. sometimes jumping and activating work - you jump and as the item hiights, you grab. if you can grab the tyre lever, and drop that back in, it might move the book.

Switch to first person view, target diary, press action key (usually 'E'). You have to move around a bit, probably, its not so easy to get into focus, but otherwise its really simple.

there is also the possiblity that u are experiencing the "cabinet" glitch.

it happens often to me, you wont be able to pick up items inside a cabinet, the solution is to save, then load the game and it should work

I had this problem too... I just violently and rapidly hit the action key until I heard the noise indication that I'd picked something up... It always works for me.

hi new the the forum, love the game/. I got the diary but have no idea what to do next. Sez she went to blood bank. I frigggin tried everything in the hospital and blood bank. What do I do?

Lily is in the basement - hidden in a very well-locked room that can only be entered via the L side freezer.
there is a control panel to enter a 4 digit code, which is something like 1967 or thereabouts. go through and flick the switch. when you release Lily you get a cut scene and then have to deal with the bloodbank ghoul.

The code is 1969. Lily's outfit is a dead giveaway.

The access to Lily is through Freezer 1 (first type in code, then use electical switch).

Thank you very much. I'll give it a go. I thought it was the door after Vandall's office but since I could never get through, I figured that I had to convince Vandall to let me in...but he never does.
