Help!: Level Drained and in The Underdark...

Post by Lord Terror »

One of my characters (a cleric) got level drained to level 6 right when I got to Brynnlaw; I had no restoration spells (does magic resistance take effect here?) and the temple has no means of doing that... or at least I didn't see it. I am now in the Underdark... (not good) and it really would be nice to have her spells back and such. Does LD wear off? I thought I read somewhere that it does after a week, but my little group of madpeople has been adventuring for a bit more than a week, I think... and it still hasn't done so.

What can I do to fix this?

And... seeing as how she is going to die very shortly, is there any way I can raise her? She's my only cleric, and DOES know those two spells.... but again, she's drained. :(

Please help?

You're stuck with a level 6 Cleric until you escape the underdark buddy. Or you can just reload.

BTW, if that Cleric dies, you're stuck with a dead Cleric until you escape. If you have a rod of ressurection, I think that the Cleric will have all of his/her levels restored if he/she dies and is ressurrected.

Will indeed.

Doesn't the duergars in the duergar encampment sell any restoration scroll? They sell a freedom... Well, whatever. There's a reason why you should keep your cleric protected from level drains ^^;

If they die and get br0ught back to life, the levels will be back. How did you get level drained in the underdark anyways?

Heres a strategy:Keep spell casters and priests in the back so they dont take a beating.

(To Berethor)I think the vampires at the docks caused the level drain.
Also i am farely sure that the duegar sell restoration scrolls,if not right now then maybe when you have been(careful...here comes a spoiler)transformed into drow.

It would have happened prior to his leaving Brynnlaw.

Death will cure it. Likewise, can't you get priest services once you turn into a Drow? If so, Greater Restoration should cure it (or the scroll of that name).

One of the merchants may sell a Restoration scroll but there are no priest services in the Underdark at all :( .

So I guess you don't have a Rod of Ressurrection handy, eh? Or your Cleric is actually the protagonist.
I haven't run across anything that protects against level drain in the game yet... must be blind. hanks peoples....
You get an item before deparing for Brynlaww, which Clerics can definitely use. Too late now.

Then ressurrection wand. Kill your sidekick and ressurrect him. He'll be back to normal.

If you have ToB installed:

Strip the party down to PC and mage, clear the caves. You likely earn enough XP to bring the mage to HLA levels. Get Summon Planetar as your first HLA, reform your party and let the Planetar restore the cleric.
Eh... If I do that then I WILL die for sure...
Not neccessarily. People have soloed this game, some of them with Tactics installed.

What is your PC class / level, do you have an NCP mage and if yes, who is it? Does your party possess any regeneration items?
