I was not being bad... :p
*nods* Just me then. It's rare it isn't just me. Locke and Luis are almost as bad though, so I feel a bit better with them around. :p

I need book 1 of the Dragon Prince series, and books 2 and 3 of the Dragon Star series by Melanie Rawn. I'm intensely curious, and once I start reading something, I positively HAVE to finish it and it kills my wallet.

I know that feeling :p

Buy more stand-alone books. That helps. :D

They're SO short though. :( I have a good number of books I get as gifts, which are a part of a series, and in the middle of a series so I need to read all the books before and after the gift I got and it drives me absolutely insane getting books like that. My thought process ends up "Yay, I got a book, oh, it's book 3 of 7? Crap, there goes 50 dollars..."

It really annoys me when someone gets me a book from the middle of a series. It either spoils the plot of earlier books or is impossible to understand.

So I just get my own :p

A good FR series of stand-alones is 'The Cities' series. They're all independent of each other.

Do you have the book I'm looking for, Juni?

There's an induction week from the 26th, but I went to that last year. I'm not sure if they're going to tell us anything new. If I don't have to go through the induction week again, it'll be the week after, the start of October.

Back to Programming, System Building, Multimedia Development and IT Organisation and Deployment lectures and tutorials...

I do that kind of thing.
I can easily read them again after a while, so it's not too much of a problem for me.

With a novel, if I sit down and read all day, I can go through about 300 pages a day. If I just read for a little while before I fall asleep, it takes a good bit longer to go through a book though.

300 pages? I couldn't read that much I think. I just read before I go to sleep and when I'm commuting really. Can be up to 150 pages maybe but I usually read a different book on the train. Not as confusing as I'd expected :p

*nods* I used to be able to read faster when I was 15 or so, I can't process anything as well, or as fast as I used to now.

Reading more than one book at a time tends to ruin it for me. My memory is terrible now, so if I pick up one, read for a day, then switch to another, I forget whats gone on in the first one.

I like reading but I get a bit fed up of reading one book if I've already read it on the train for at least an hour which is normal for me.

I used to have that problem. Now, I have so much going on, I barely get time to sit down and do anything for more than 20 minutes without being interrupted.

Busy lately Mag? Any luck with the cheerleader? :p

On the train I have nothing better to do than read a book, especially in the rush hour. No space to do any work.

Is Juni still around?

I have that. The book after LOTR? I never made any progress with it either. I read the LOTR books and the Hobbit too, they were easier to get into...

I'm thinking of ordering Dungeon Lords and a DVD soon. DL should finally be out here.

Oh, I have the house to myself for the weekend... :p

Tsk. You must really like HP. :p  I'm about as obsessed with Stargate related stuff.

Definately busy lately, no, no luck. I might have to find ways to cut her out of my life without her approval. Stalkers are no fun with the laws regarding shooting people. :(

I just got temporary ownership of a forum. I'm kind of shocked.

Yeah, sticky problem there. Wish I could help.

That is kind of scary. They must have been desperate ;)

Mum gave me a couple of old books recently.
The Many-Coloured Land
The Golden Torc
Book 1 & 2 in the Saga of th Exiles series

The first apparently 'will eventually rival LOTR', so who knows, may be good sci-fi.

Indeed, last year of high school and all that sucking the life from him I think. Ah well, everyone there seems to be busy, so it might fit into my schedule. If it gets to be a busy forum, I'd be in for trouble. :p

Maybe I'll be able to help you with DL, Juni. :p

Looking at my copy of 'The Silmarillion'- Lots of maps and glossary and stuff- Similar to Eberron books.
Don't know if I'll ever have a good look at it.
House to yourself?? Gonna have a Savvy Ravvy Par-tay?

If only I was the type to have wild parties. :D No party, I'd end up having to clear up anyway
