Hi all.
Have a few remarks about skills, after I have read classes section of walkthrough.
- No diabolic skill should be in 2nd tier guild (samurai). If we check game web manual, there really is no such skill, in contrast to what walkthrough says.
- War witch has a requirement of heavy weapon 5, so why it grants new skill heavy weapon?
More remarks:
- Game has Bradley design stamp on it...It can be seen most clearly in newly added automap feature. Looks like Wizardry 7.
- Game has not crashed once for me, but it gives a feel of some contents missing. Not bad at all.
Elured.
Skill system and general thoughts
the skill and stat requirement for class upgrade is not necessary....
i do not have the sufficient skill and stat requirement, but i my character class has been upgraded, i just did the quest given....
some of the spells are missing or i just missed them....
i cannot feel the effects of channel and scribe skill.....

I'm not sure if Samurai gets 'inflict wounds' or not but I believe there are a few second tier classes that get diabolic skills. Someone who has played a samurai will have to answer. There is such a skill my deathlord has it. Trust the walkthrough over the manual because the walkthrough, while not perfect, has gone through some corrections that the manual never did.
Your warwitch question is interesting and I don't know how it is resolved in the game. if your second tier sisterhood class is Enchantress then heavy armor could be a new skill. if your second tier sisterhood class is Valkyrie then it wouldn't be a new skill. It could be you'll have to pick up heavy armor in your other second tier class to achieve warwitch if you go the enchantress route. The requirements for class promotion are not currently implemented in the game yet, so no one can know the answer to that question, but according to what little info we have they are supposed to be implemented in the next patch.
Channel and scribe both work and you can get lots of use out of spells. It is true that a number of spells listed in the manual are not in the game but there is enough to get by, no problem. D

Off the top of my head ... In the Nether spells I could not summon a giant until level 5, nor a fiend until level seven in the nether spells skills.
Channel seems to work. I got the heal heraldry, (20% pro healing) and the two make my heal crystal gain mana about as fast as you would count in a normal voice. I have 10 charges and they never run out.
I am playing a female elf adept, and spells make it possible, though you need melee weapons (enchanted) for the toughest fights.
The game certainly has the Bradley stamp. <g> The missing levers show that ... has anyone played a non-Bradley game where you had to find levers ?
Also, the puzzles have his flavor.
