Hey, I've got 8 ranks in drainlife as a war witch and it seems like the character regains health from melee attacks on enemies, not from spells/magical attacks. I fired off about 40 fire bursts and was only regenerating health at the normal rate. Took out my elven darksword and golden wazikashi and was at full health (from about a quarter down) in one or two strikes... You can actually see your health jump after melee attacks. Not sure if this is related to drainlife or maybe some other miscellaneous ability/equipment I have. Anyone else have similar experiences?
I have a Warlock with the same ability's and found that melee weapons drain the life unlike what the walkthrough says about getting this ability through magic attacks.
No it's not a magical weapon stuff. I tried various spells none drain life despite they can't be more magic. But hand fighting is draining life and there's no magic there, no weapon and no special gloves. Anyway that's prety cool like that for my Cabalist Ninja using Nether Magic.
