Eight Legged Spider Assassin !!!!!!!

Post by Eri0nd »

In SoA I got a pair of Boots of Speed, I loved them, then in ToB I fight another Bhaalspawn with apair, then I buy some from the innkeeper in Saradush then yet another pair from the library there! So thats four pairs of boots, all of them the paws of the cheater, so how many legs did this assassin bloke have? Eight!! What was he, half spider!!:eek :( mmmm nice)And I heard somewhere that there are actually two pairs in SoA and as I've only just started ToB how many could there be? 6? 8? so that'd be 12 or 16 legs!!! It'd be fun if you could play him!
Any Ideas how many Pairs of Boots there are and what creature must have worn them?

There are 3 in SoA and 3 in ToB so far for me, and i just got out of the first city.
I got 2 from SoA and 3 in ToB and then here is that armour that works like the boots, so all my characters is speeded.

Nothing to do with the question, but i noticed the boots give 1/2 extra attack as well.

And why do you think that he wore them at the same time? Probably he has many pairs. Then he grew and he needed nother pair: bigger. And he kept some at home in case if he will have jobs under the rain.

Maybe he was a Drider?

But seriously, the Boots were made for BG1, including their description. As with nearly everything, the developers simply copied the item file over for BG2 without editing the description. If they'd done their homework, all pairs would have had a unique description.

In bg1 though the boots only increased your walking movement. in SoA and ToB the naturally haste you (which i love). Also it say in the description of the ring of free action that the ring will negate the effect of the boots but it doesn't at all in SoA or ToB and theres a way in bg1 that if you equip them in the proper order they don't bother each other.

as for the assasin guy, maybe he had a shoe fettish and was compulsed enough to wear a different pair every day of the realm's tenday/week

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.
