Is there any point in doing this if one's PC is an assassin? I've played through SoA several times, and just thought it'd be fun to try a new fighter-NPC. My question is therefore: Has anyone actually tried to use Yoshi as a tank? Also, I'm playing single player, but thought I'd try to keep my party limited to three characters, so how long (approximately) will it take for me to unlock Yoshimos thieving skills?
Btw, I just registered so I'm sorry if this thread has been a recurring pain for all you veterans...
Dualing Yoshimo?
Dualing Yoshimo?
"Ever pathetic - Ever fools!"
If you are going to dual Yoshimo then you need to do so very soon after you get him because you need to keep in mind that you will lose him half way in the game and that makes it less appealing to waste time advance up levels to regain his thief skills when he won't even be around long enough to put them to good use.Everything really depends on your playing style. If you don't mind taking things slow and not rushing off spellhold soon then sure go ahead and do it.But if you would rather not take time doing all the side quest in the game then the best thing for you to leave him the way he is.But this is your game so have fun doing whatever you thinks goes along with your you!
I've thought quite extensively about this and I've come to the same conclusion as darkraven- dualling Yoshi to a fighter is really only viable if you intend to do everything you can before going to Spellhold. The problem is that dualling from a thief is the worst type of dual class because the system works on *level* not exp, and given that thieves level up so quickly compared to other classes you need some serious exp to make it worthwile.
That said, I imagine with the grand-mastery patch installed and equipping him with Tuigan short bow, with he would make a brilliant archer- very useful in early chapters!
With regards your other questions-
1. Try Waukeen's Promenade- there's loads of scroll shops there. Failing that use Shadow Keepeer.
2. Goo is a mod (as you probably know) browse the forums at the Pocket Plane Group's website.
