After I finish this year's studying I get to do an Industrial placement somewhere, so who knows what that'll involve. Maybe I'll be in some British lab :p . I think someone went to the particle collider thing in Geneva.

And then after the course, I don't know. I'm keeping my options open, I'll see what's available and what I want to do nearer then.

Remember that your degree will hold almost limitless possibilities. although many skills like this have been taught to many people, those who specialize in it tend to be more needed than normal.

I look forward to having you join the work force.

I just went to a lecture on nano tech the other day. I found it most interesting and enlightening. Although I am not sure what to make of the theories he is presenting us with.

There is a high demand. I think the last year (after the placement) covers some good stuff like AI. That's more advanced.
This year it's Multimedia Development, Programming (Java and C++ I think), System Building (loads of diagrams and planning involved) and IT Organisation and Deployment (that's supposed to be more technical).

Still looking up potential avatars. This page (and the 2 that follow it) are quite good: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dn ... 10b&page=1 I like the guardgoyle.

I can do both Java and C+(+). I have taken advanced classes in those in high school, along with design studies. :D

AI is difficult. I thought about taking classes in it in Uni when I first went... since it also combined with nano theory. :D

I ended up taking nano theory anyways, even though I didnt have to. Cost me a little bit, but it was worth it.

Looks like I'll have to get your help when I get coursework then :p ;)

I think the options are free (apart from the £1150 they charge at the start of the year  ).

Right, going now. Talk to you later :)

And btw, Amazon.com are selling Dragonshard, which indicates it has been released (in the US- not here :( ). ;)

Are you sure thats not preoerdering they are talking about?

See you Rav. :D Enjoy free life for the next 2 weeks. :p

You had to redo some?

Thankfully I've avoided that and exam resits.

Bought a new game today. Fable: TLC. Haven't tried it yet though.

Turns out I don't go to Uni tomorrow, they changed around the induction a bit  . Good job I checked today...

Hope you enjot fable... tell me if its worth getting... :D

Uni is ANOTHER day back? Here I am woprking at a lab, and the only thing keeping me together was the fact that youdhave to suffer soon... :p

Their lack of organisation never ceases to amaze... :o :p
Induction is pretty light, 1 hour on Monday and Wednesday. Two 1 hour long things seperated by 2 hours on Tuesday  .
Then the week after it's probably summaries of what we'll be learning. :o

After that the suffering begins... :p ;)

I was going to try Fable today but it only works with Windows XP. A nice marketing ploy... so tomorrow I'll try it in XP.

*nods*
Mine seems to be sometimes. Rely on them to organise anything and it's chaos. They've had 5 months to sort out an induction but only posted the timetable for it last week.

Ah well, as long as I keep getting good grades and a degree out of it, what do I care? :D ;)

Do you mine explaining this to the unenlightened one? Cause that makes no sense.

Say, Rav, have you ever thought as to why so many members have over 100 posts now, yet how few people actually make it to 10000? You know, doesnt that make you wonder?

M&M's, those little chocolate sweet things (bad description I know). Maybe they didn't make it to Canada- http://www.mms.com/
Anyway, people were giving out free samples, one group giving out single packets the other three at a time. So Dad and I collected 8 packets from those blissfully ignorant people. It's a pity I can't have Peanut flavoured stuff really... :p

Most of them don't really spam and have better things to do probably. :p
A very big gap between 100 and 10000 after all. Takes a while to amass that.

Hi Kip. Like the avatar :)

Looks like I'll have to make use of my avatar ideas then.

I know what M&Ms are, It's just rare that you hear about someone scamming M&Ms. I mean, there brains are nuts, and they are pretty frail, theres not much else to do with them than eat them.

I know. But look... the list of people who are at, above or closing on 10000,

CE
Fable
Xandax
Bloodstalker
Dragon Wench
Gamebansheenews

I probably missed one, but lets look at the list of over 2000... thats a much larger number!
