How to get Dark and Bright Wizard Hats!
How to get them:
Bright Wizard Hat. Get as many books as you can in the Heroes' Guild and give them to the school teacher in Bowerstone South, when you give him about 10 books, you'll get the Bright Wizard Hat.
Dark Wizard Hat (not yet added on the website). STEAL as many books as you can and give them to the school teacher in Bowerstone South, when you give him about 10 books, you'll get the Dark Wizard Hat. Bowerstone South and Oakvale are nice towns to steal books.
A tip for stealing in houses: Let the owner of the house follow you, and walk away from the house, then let him wait and get back and steal everything without getting noticed.
Good luck with your hats!

I'm confused, if you take books from the guild isn't that stealing? Or is this not considered an evil act?

I doubt the method you use to get the books makes any difference. I think it's just that Bowerstone and Oakvale have a lot of "bad" books, while the Heroes' Guild has mostly "good" books.
I made the mistake of playing through the game collecting ALL of the books so I could test which ones are good and which ones are bad, but then it turns out that the game chooses the donation order, and I could only get the bright wizard hat (again). We probably won't add the dark hat until I actually pick it up in a game.

Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Getting books from the Heroes' Guild isn't considered an evil act. IT's a libary after all, so that's not to confusing, is it?
SWCarter. Are you saying you don't believe it even excists? I've had it, seriously. If I feel like it, I'll post screenshots + all the stats on it when I get it again (because I didn't keep it, since I'm playing a good wizard).
EDIT: I did this in Fable: The Lost Chapters by the way, maybe it doesn't work in the original Fable (if the quest even excist there)..

I finally got the dark wizard hat, and I updated the walkthrough accordingly. The dark wizard hat is also now in the database.
