a complete gaming novice and mac person got to play baldurs gate (no...2?) on a friends' pc - now i want more...
what game do you recommend to start with and are there any cool games for macs?(that don't f**k up the machine that is...)

:confused:

oh, and i realize this might be in the wrong thread but people, please help a guy out... i spent the last couple of nights reading lurking and reading archives and phew - there's some brilliant writing over here - i'm sure a gang this smart can throw a newb a bone and point him in the right direction...

I think most of Bioware and Black Isle's games (the two companies behind Baldur's gate) are now available on a Mac, you could look on eBay or look in a Mac store.

As far as I know, some of the newer games are developed for the Mac as well now, you just need the right OS.

Halo is available for Mac, and I've heard unconfirmed info about Doom 3 porting to Mac. I'm sure that all the games in the Myst series are available for Mac though.
