"Enemies" You wish you didn't have to fight...

Post by dragon wench »

I know that there are mods that can resolve this issue, but for the sake of argument, are there any "enemies" in the game you'd rather not have to attack because of self-defense?

For me, it are bears, wolves, spriggans (hey, I like trees :D ) and guars... I usually try to sneak past them.
I also try to avoid killing hostile NPCs unless absolutely necessary.

You didn't include cliff racers on that list!  :D

Ascended sleepers and goblins I think I'd add. Can't suggest Bloodmoon ones as I don't own that expansion.

Mudcrabs too, it seems a bit ridiculous that they would attack you in the first place.

Spriggans, cliff racers and an annoying little fella from bloodmoon, who rides a wolf. Cant remember the name. Spriggans are annoying cause they must be killed thrice. CRacers are annoying cause they're almost anywhere and in large numbers,a nd their noises are freaky.
Flesh to stone ain't permanent, it seems.

I'd also have to say cliff racers. :( Bloody flying menaces!

I used to play a Breton mage who levitated everywhere instead of walking :D (Hey, it works when you need to fly around Tel Mora and stuff). But those cliff racers sneak up right by you and if you have the music turned down and you hear this loud screech...*shudder* Man I hate those things. They have way too much health.

I can't say I like cliff racers myself, but this thread is not about cliff racers per se ;)

My point was more that I really hate having to kill creatures like bears and wolves because I like them. My MW character identifies with the Skaal because she worships nature :D

*nods* I hate the Morag Tong because I can't stand killing NPCs. It annoys me that maybe they have other quests with them, and there's a lot of people watching, and I can't stand NOT talking to guards :D . Dunno why.
Also, I hate killing NPCs if there's no real reason behind it. And being in the Morag Tong doesn't count. :p

You do realise that there is indeed a mod that makes Cliff Racers passive, infact I belive it makes quite a few creatures passive that would logically be so. Actually, I think it'll make most types of Cliff racers, and Kawambas run from you if you attack them, or wound them too badly.

the ajit, mostly because they are so damn illogical. Evolutionary speaking something that big shouldn't have poison, as well as the fact there's no way it could move the way it does without falling over.

I severely hate ordinators, but try to resist the urge to kill them.
When only counting those that start out hostile, ofcourse those cliffracers, and also them pesky servants from Dagoth Ur.

Hunger.

Because, they lick my face!!
yuck!

It is more of the enemy I don't want to face than to fight, I must say.

Cliff racers most definitley i jujst walked out after killing dagoth ur today, admiring the nice clear blue sky and what do you know no less than 3 cliff racers form my welcoming committee, then fart being mr fire spell that does 100 damage in 50 ft. burn mongrels BURN!

But as for ordinators i hunt them for sport using the same spell (big explosion make me happy)

and all other creatures i just fly right over with a ce levitate amulet/ring

Of all the enemies, the ones I avoid most are Durzogs and Dremora lords. Why, you ask? Because I think they're sweet :D Everytime I have to fight one, I'm all like "c'mon, we're both like, a billion times sweeter than all the other guys: can't we be friends?"
