I found that going toe to toe with the wraith using my sword of speed from the Elder Trials and having healing potions in a speed slot worked best for my character. Even though I have a mage, magic was not as effective. Besides, the wraith can't cast spells while whomping on it with a weapon.

If it's the wraith I'm thinking about, the key is that your shield should block its spells. Then it's not hard to kill.

You've probably collected a number of scrolls such as magic missle and fire ball. Go ahead and unload them on that wraith. D

Also you can pretty much negate the effects of the freeze/petrify by going into inventory mode. The effects will wear off eventually and you can return to the game and continue the fight.

you don't need the second lever .... those gates just save you a little travelling. I never found the second lever, and suspect a bug.

Reading this part of the walkthrough might help you out.

Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

** Spoiler **

Basically when you exit the room with the 4 levers in it, you will be standing on a platform surrounded by water.
Simply turn RIGHT facing the wall and jump in the water. There is an underwater tunnel there leading to the room...
If you were to go LEFT instead, there's the opposite tunnel and it has a lever in it.

Valdane is in the Naga temple. The location is on the map in the walkthrough.

A couple of suggestions: The Forbidden lands is a tough area, and the Naga temple is a tough dungeon. You should prepare yourself for that.

Note that you can go a long time while poisoned. I wouldn't use a cure poison potion until the poison was taking points fairly rapidly. In fact, I would suggest you go back to Arindale and buy a couple of purify crysals. They take time to recharge, but you know you will always eventually have a cure poison 'potion'. Do not use a campfire while you are poisoned.

Coming out of Skuldoon, turn left, and 'keep your left hand on the wall' so to speak. After a while you will come to a moon gate to get to arindale.

While in the Forbidden lands, try to do everything you can in there, so you don't have to go back soon. In particular, be sure to visit Staroxia, get the item she tells you to, etc. Also carry out any quests you have.
