Multiclassing to a kit with shadowkeeper

Post by Shampoohorn »

I've been playing around with converting multiclasses to add a little extra to the gaming experience. After creating a standard multiclass I'll select a kit while in shadowkeeper. After making a few minor adjustments for +hitpoint (the barbarian) or -thief skills (the swash) etc. there ready to go.

I haven't played with them much but they don't seem to be buggy and they level up fine. I've played through the game previously without doing this kind of questionable fiddling; with a monk & strong party, skald & fighters, and the same monk & weak party. but this has given me that little extra kick to play again. It just wouldn't be right for gnomes to have all the fun.

Has anyone else tried this?

So far I've played with:
Barbarian Thief (Half Orc) (Good HP's, barb gets ++ anyway)
Avenger/Fighter
Swashbuckler/Mage (love that AC)

Cheers,

The Kensai/Thief is popular, but i've played a Thief/Kensai, thereby continuing to advance in levels as a Kensai. I think, however, that the legit Kensai/Thief is prolly more powerful, with abilities such as "use any item" and an increasing backstab multiplier. Not for sure though.

I dual-classed, not multi

Another thing I bet shadowkeeper will let you do is apply the kit to the second class on a dual classed character. So a fighter-->conjurer or a fighter-->assassin would be possible as well.

well ... if one wanted a real fruitcake, one should do a ChaoticNeutral Jester/WildMage multiclass - if that was possible?
