Khalid and Jaheira keep disappearing

I want to remove Khalid and Jaheira from my party for a while so I can use some other npcs but whenever I go back to where I left them they are gone. Is there anywhere I can leave them where they'll stay put?

They are connected to the Naskhel mines quest. Did you do that one already? You can park Khalid and Jaheira anywhere safely afterwards.
Also, keep in mind that if you do the Naskhel mines without them, they'll disappear too.

That's not true because I'm in chapter 5 and they won't stay where I leave them.

They haven't gone back to the FAI have they. I hope they're around somewhere coz I've done the same thing (dropped them for a while to use some other NPCs) but haven't gone back to pick them up yet.

OK. Now i've left them in the Naskel Inn and they seem to be staying so far.
