Q on Skorm's bow

Post by Demonizer »

SO, i'm in the process of sacrificing ppl for skorm to get the bow, and everytime i bring one 'gift' as the priest says. Well after the ceremony he mocks it and says "do try harder next time". what exactly does he mean by that? meaning i haven't brought enough or not too important ones? and how many i have to give him? I've given so far about 30.

Check the general facts on this page but basically every time you sacrifice people you get "points/person"...once this adds up to around 1000 you get the bow...check the general facts for exact info.

Try searching for topics on Skorm's bow, I remember one where someone recounted that if you sacrifice someone at midnight, you can get it on your first attempt.

It all depends on your alignment.

If you are completely evil, sacrifice at 6:00PM. If you are completely good, sacrifice at 6:00AM. If you are in the middle, sacrifice at 12:00PM. Etc. Just gauge your alignment from 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

Better to do it at 6.00 am if you're good. I'd bring two if I were you, too.

I got really good results by bringing people that were in love with me. I brought three people that all were ready to be married, and the guys in the chapel said they were worthy gifts and to bring more.

Maybe try that, too.

Yep, everything mentioned above is good to do. Also to save time you can take two of the three shopkeepers from Darkwood camp. The guy in the left tent and the guy at the back by the blackjack table. They will reappear in a few days, just like the Mercs from Oakvale Bowerstone and Twinblades.

As a side, when I played Classic Fable on X-Box I got the bow right off the bat with my first sacrifice. It does make te early game very easy, the Skorm Bow is by far the best weapon in the game.

Although after palying TLC I wonder where the Bow really came from, as along with Avo(and "his" tear), Skorm doesn't actually exsist. Begging the question, who made these legendry weapons if not the "Gods" themselves. :)

It's a lot easier if you are of perfectly good alignment. The best result I ever got was sacrificing a bodygaurd at some time during the night. I received 1000 evil points and Skorm's Bow, which is by far the coolest looking weapon other than the Sword of Aeons.

If you ask 20 people how to get Skorms bow you'll get 20 different answers. Everyone seems to have their own specific method, or maybe its a truly random reward for a sacrifice and all this is just coincidence.

I'll tell you exactly what I did to get it and maybe it will work for you as well. First of all I tried to get the bow as early as possible in the game. And even though it appeared I did everything right (I got the correct response from the dark priest and even got the big alignment adjustment) I didn't get the bow my first few tries ! After doing some reading, someone said you need a minimum renown of 4 to get the bow, mine was only 3 so I came back after it hit 4.

My characters personality was exactly 2 sections into the good side, and I brought with me the bodyguard for hire from outside Avo's temple. I meant to wait until exactly midnight to make the sacrafice but accidentally did it at 11 pm (you know exactly when the clock hits the hour because the bodyguards deduct their money every hour). Well I must have done something right because I walked away with Skorms Bow that first try.

Good Luck

its very easy but hard for 1st time but u need i suppose at least 2 ppl .procedure: when the clock almost reaches to a semi-circle ( black on top and yellow bottom) talk to the priest and the 1st time may not work but the second time should do

Bandits

If you are short on cash and have a bad alignment just go to twinblades camp and get the bandits to follow you to the chapel of scorm, then let the sacrifices begin!

Well you have to get about +700 evil points in one go so make sure your all good or mostly good for its easier to get

1.what I do is teleport from chapel to oakvale, hire the merc
teleport back to chapel
2.teleport to bandet camp and hire merc and teleport back to chapel

then sacrifice them while skipping the cut sense ( tends to work alot better)
and woop te doo you have it.

works for me every time.

My char is pure evil and i have sacrificed at 12 midnight. and i got 6 evil points ( it was a merc from twinblade camp ). How can you tell if it's 6am/pm because the gauge on the top right only shows a 12 hour cycle ( im probably gonna be proven wrong , it sounds stupid.)

Can anyone offer me help. It's my 2nd time playing through fable and im hoping to get the skorm bow early.

p.s. i have gone to the good side and sacrifice but i only got 40!
