I actually heard that it's marginally harder when you're wearing heavy boots, but since the only time I ever used stealth was to clear out Rethan Manor for the Telvanni, I wouldn't really know much about it anyway. My advice would be to try it under a controled environment (you know, like those experiments in science class) and see what your results look like. I mean, Moltovir is probably right, but I do remember hearing something 'bout heavy boots in the manual.
Get up, stand up. Come on, throw your hands up.

Alien_Newborn is right check your manual it does say that wearing certain types of boots affect you....when I wore no boots in the begining it was easy to sneak...I think its because the boots make noise so people are aware of you more.
Wondering how vampires live the life they live.....
seriously I dont know how they sleep during the day, I have a twitch everytime I hear a loud sound as I slumber, everytime ....Im just waiting to pounce on the poor mortal who creates a sound while I sleep in during the day. /rant
I must admit i have had more luck at sneeking while wearing just shoes,(but i might be getting lucky)
And recently i found on another website that the weight of your shoes/boots can effect sneaking. ( cant remember what site )
If it is the weight that effects it i think ill be using bound boots alot more often.
