Your ninja (or more properly - Ninja Lord) should be a fast, tough guy. Try Elf or maybe Wylvan. Start with the Guild of Mystery, and definitely hit the House of the Dragon and Tiger. You need to proceed from Rogue to Budoka to Ninja Lord. Read the walkthroughs and read the class descriptions. There's handy information that will step you through the entire process in this site.
