Venus a crook?

Post by Chax »

So I killed Igor for Venus, took over part ownership of her club and was collecting money from her on a regular basis. However, the last six or so times I've gone there, she's told me to come back after a few nights. Now, I'm sure it's been more than a few nights since I got my last wad - finished several quests in the meantime. So, is it a bug, or is she just shafting me for being a patsy? Does she need to be spanked or something? Enlighten, please.

Venus will pay after every MAIN quest you complete. Even if you spend hours killing PlagueBearers and doing other sidequests, Venus won't give you a dime.

I'm not exactly sure how "time" goes in VTMBloodlines. In my experience, if you complete a one main quest, she'll say "Here's your cut" and fork over 80 bucks. Complete a string of main quests in a row, and she'll throw down 250.

spoilers!!!

I usually do Venus's quests between the "Elizabeth Dane" & Grout quests.

In that case you can get money after the following quests

Grout
Museum
Nosferatu Warrens
Fu lab
Giovanni
Society of Leopold
Hallowbrook

If you go after each of these quests, you'll get 80 USD if you go to Venus before reporting to Lacroix and 250 USD if you go to Venus after reporting to Lacroix (of course, reporting to Lacroix is not needed for the warrens & the lab, for the last one you need to make the call to Gary though).
I think that God in creating man somewhat overestimated his ability.

I was wondering about this myself. Why don't you get money after going the way of kings? Doesen't that count as a main mission? How about the other string of main missions in hollywood?

"Lets talk in my office"

*Loud music*

*Pennypinchers character comes downstairs cleaning his lips*

"Huh? Venus? No she doesn't run the club any more, she hired me to take care of the place, she was making such good profits... What can I get you?"
I was Diablorised once. I got better.

She gives you money after ever single Main Mission as mentioned this includes the Elizabeth Dave and Kings way.
I always do every side quest first then start the main quest, last in each city section.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Only the quests for Lacroix count...
Even if you're doing many missions within the main storyline for Isaac and Gary, these count as only two "Lacroix-referred" quests.
While you are doing the quests for Isaac in Hollywood you'll notice there is a Lacroix referred quest ("The epic of the Ankaran Sarcophagus") in your quest log which doesn't change until you find Gary. And after that this quest log doesn't change until you've finished the main quests in Chinatown.

Ahh... that explains it. Damn that Lacroix has his fingers everywhere... not even Venus is pure anymore.

Now you know what to do laddie. Kill them! Kill them all!
