I usually play half way in between... for a variety of reasons...
Mostly cause both sides sicken me.

Whoah, you feel guilty for exploiting a bunch of pixels.... well, to each his own....
But anyways... I've always been dark, as in ALWAYS. One time, I tried to play light side, but I found there weren't any good light powers (except maybe heal, and burst of speed). I managed to get to Nar Shadaa, and then I was like "whoah, why did I ever even consider doing this?" and went back to my plunderous ways. Besides, good luck to have some pansy self-righteous Jedi with a base strength of 32

I always play Light because
a) Yes, I feel guilty when I throw away an old candy wrapper, let alone bully a bunch of pixels depicting a human (or any other sentient) face. I just don't find evil very fun.
b) I don't feel crippled about powers, the best (in my opinion) are neutral, and what's a little penalty for using Shock?
c) I adore long dialogues.
d) Everybody's so happy in the end, and
e) It's just so damn fulfilling!
And it does wonders to your ego.

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.
If you're thinking of the characters as just a bunch of pixels, then you're not immersed in the game. In which case, why play at all?
I was just saying that for the people who think it's weird to feel guilty about playing Dark Side, since it's all "just a bunch of pixels."
Believe me, I don't feel that way about any game, otherwise, as you said, I wouldn't be playing at all.

in both games I played light. First.
Yes, there must be something of feeling "guilty" but also there is more about your companions.
Being dark means you should USE them to accomplish your missions, and if you do they shoul leave you or even start fighting with you. and what we see?
Sometimes they just follow you like bunch of mindless sheep.
Then in my opinion, game creators would have to prepare actually two different games in one pack if they want to be consistent with Dark and Light sides.
That was my reasoning for light.
And on the other hand....the Force cannot be dark or light: it's the way you USE it, isn't it?
(BTW: WHO said that?)

Kyle Katarn said that to Jaden Korr in Jedi Academy at the start of the training mission.
For me I always wind up playing light side. I have tried to be evil a couple of times but it never really worked out, despite how much fun it can be to talk with HK-47.
This is the same with most games where you can choose your alignment, i.e. KOTOR1, Jedi academy etc
In reply to Alien_Newborn: My "pansy self-righteous Jedi with a base strength of" 20 took out sion with just one round of combat for each little sparing match we had, in difficult.
